There’s so much to report, the wedge salad was out of this world. Smoked pork chop was so large and delicious, my wife had the pasta shrimp special. Food is so amazing and fresh, David our waiter was so on point and professional. So when in Fortville, fox garden is the spot and David is your man for excellent service..! ?

My mom and I had my belated birthday lunch here yesterday. We considered the original spot in Fortville, but per Open Table, couldn't get in for lunch time, so we went here, as we'd had a very good experience here before. We both think it can be difficult to find consistently good, well seasoned food out at restaurants, although it shouldn't be so hard for the prices these days. We shared the MX Corn Dip which was delish, the General Tso's chicken sandwich with chips-also delish, and a chicken sandwich on special that came with a bowl of potato soup. The 'special' sandwich was ok, a bit lacking by comparison, and the soup was pretty good. We'd made a reservation to be sure we could get in, but upon entering, the place was more empty than full, minimal staff. We waited for someone to come and seat us, but no one did, so we sat down at our choice of table, away from the bar where most were seated and was a bit noisy. That was a mistake, as the only waitress was also the bartender, so it felt a bit like 'out of sight, out of mind'. She was friendly enough, but not very attentive, even though we were in her line of sight, if she made a point to look. We had to signal to a bar patron to signal her to get her to come refill our waters. She didn't even bother to ask if we wanted anything else to drink when she brought our waters until we'd already had our food, so we just stuck with water. She admitted to being understaffed, but also to being 'a bit spacey today for some reason'. We did tip her, but definitely not 20% worth! Next time, we'll sit closer to the only staffer working or hope for better staffing! Food is usually consistently good at both FoxGardins, so we'd try again, but probably the other location first . . .

The food is terrific. Our actual server was great. Getting seated was a bit frustrating. Not really an area to wait comfortably and the 2-3 hosts were all just crammed in there as well. It seems the open table reservation was more of a time to be put in a wait list. Took around 10 minutes to be seated. Felt as if we could have just walked in and gotten the same service and sort of suspect some of the other couples waiting with us were walk-ins as the staff was familiar with them by name. Again the food was good and pretty quick, but my wife took advantage of a Ribeye special that was listed off by the sever instead of the menu. It ended up being as much as the filet mignon, so just special items and not necessarily a special value for said items. We could have asked, but didn't figure they'd mark up so high and also kills the vibe of a date a bit. Also, limited parking options.

We had a reservation. Sat at our table for nearly 15-20 minutes before our server came over. She finally came over to take drink orders. After bringing our drinks she disappeared. We had to flag her down to take our food orders.Once our food arrived we seen her maybe twice. She wasn’t very friendly and would disappear.Definitely recommend the one in Fortville.

The service was at a strange pace. The main course arrived immediately after the appetizer was served. Our entrees were flavorless, overpriced and frankly a waste of $$.

This was our first time to eat here. This casual restaurant has a great local vibe. The food and service was great! My wife and I had a great time.

We eat at Foxgardin fairly regularly. The food is always on point. On our most recent visit, the service was the best that it's been in a long time. Tanya was wonderful. She never left us without anything that we wanted and she overdelivered everything that we asked for. Tanya made our night. Thanks.

The service had an odd pace. Our appetizer arrive just minutes before our entrees were served. We must have ordered the wrong menu items because our food was tasteless. We would have liked a second drink from the bar but our server never asked.
