“Tavern of the Oaks has great food. I highly recommend the wings and pizza. A community bar....reminds me of CHEERS! The owner Maria is cool and the bartenders are great-Frank,Amy,Sammy,Steve,Nichole and Shannon. Let's not forget Nila, the cook!! She can throw down in the morning. Great spot to stop after work. “We found this place on our way to Raleigh, NC from Chicago. Stopped here after reading reviews online. TRUST THE REVIEWS that say this place is good...IT IS GOOD! We just moved to the Chicago area from South Texas, so we know good Mexican food and this place does not disappoint! If you are anywhere near Gary Indiana, you have to stop in to Chela's. It's not fancy at all, but is very clean and the prices are good. We had the Birria Tacos, chips and salsa and several different meat tacos. Then, on our way back from North Carolina, we stopped in again! My fiance thinks this is the best Mexican food outside of Texas. THAT'S saying something! We can't wait to go back!“
“Our first time here, and really enjoyed everything. I had the steak enchiladas, which were very delicious, and my wife had cecina steak. It was very tender. Also, the rice and beans were made very well. The rice was moist, and the beans had a nice texture, not runny like a lot of places. Definitely will be coming back!“

“I was just passing by and saw a sign in the front window that said 5 tacos for $ 12.50 and it was Taco Bell Tuesday. The place is really nice for its size, very neat and clean. Roomie enough to sit down and Enjoy your meal; plus they have Door Dash. The owner is Very friendly and accommodating; she also makes Great food choices for you especially if you're like me and sometimes a little indecisive. . Plus it was Taco Bell Tuesday, and I had seen their sighs on the interstate and highways . Well let me just say that EVERYTHING was Delicious I ate my Beef taco Loaded French Fries 1st and then ate my beef taco, chicken taco ( 1/2 ) and pork taco.“
“I absolutely love these tacos ?❤️ The first time I tried them was on a Tuesday (Taco Tuesday) which tacos are only $2 that day. I ended up ordering 2 chicken, 2 beef and 2 steak tacos. 1 soft shell and 1 hard shell of each kind of meat. To my surprise they were all delicious ? My favorite kind was the hard shell chicken taco ? I'll definitely be back on Tuesday's (more tacos for the money)“
