I was on the way to drop off my foster dog, so a lil emotional. Payne’s caught my attention off the highway and I couldn’t have been happier. Amazing, crispy, and generous fish and chips, and my server, Sierra, brought it out to the car because I was having a heck of a time keeping my foster dog calm. I will be back! Can’t thank you enough for making a tough day a little easier.

I've worked in an Irish Pub. I've worked in an American Pub. Stateside, I have not experienced a restaurant that felt as organic in it's origins as Payne's. The menu was standard English Pub fare, but had offerings I had not found in another restaurant in the US. I have been traveling back and forth from Ft. Wayne to Indy for over 30+ years and had never made the time to stop here. I'm ecstatic I finally did. I don't wish to spoil the moment by sharing my exact dining experience.
