Hotel bar as you would expect. Not a lot of food except for breakfast is in the morning. The bartender staff was great and friendly. People that hang out here generally come back from games etc and kind of a good vibe. Not a destination spot for a bar as you would expect in a small hotel Holiday inn but nevertheless cold beer, good drinks good service.

$650 per night. Talk about getting ripped off! It was the weekend of the USC vs Norte Dame game so they took advantage of their customers. After all it’s “just” a normal Holiday Inn, nothing special. I hope the owner doesn’t spent all of his I’ll gotten income in one place. I’ve spent this much befor - the Four Seasons Ritz in Lisbon but it was worth it! This was not.

I have been to many hotels in the area and this has been the best experience by far- clean rooms, comfortable beds, working a/cs and a friendly helpful staff made our stay pleasurable (despite the game loss). "C" at the front desk was extremely helpful in coordinating the multiple arrivals and grouped our rooms together. And she was always so pleasant. The breakfast had a great assortment of dishes and the quality of the food was very good. The waitress at the restaurant kept our coffee cups full and our table cleaned. And while I love animals, this hotel is pet free which is great for my allergies.

Have stayed here a few times because it is so convenient to appear on CBS, right across the street. However, last visit was a NIGHTMARE! I arrived late and had a few trips to carry everything up and was over heated from the exertion so thought nothing of the room feeling stuffy- assumed it we me, not the room. However, after getting settled in and ironing my clothes for the early morning appearance on television, I was still warm. I tried to adjust the room temp by setting climate control to AC and to lowest temp, but the room never cooled below 79 degrees (according to the temp on their own room temp gauge on the climate control unit) see pix. With my having an early studio schedule time, being all settled in, and needing to sleep, I did not want to call the front desk at midnight to be shuffled around, so I tried to sleep but the heat in the room made it impossible. Thinking a cool bath would help, I attempted to fill the tub, but NO stopper was present. I resorted to sitting in an empty tub, splashing cold water on myself to cool down enough to be able to sleep. Needless to say, I did not look rested when I appeared on television a few hours later. A very disappointing stay.

I visited for the ND Spring game with some friends. The rooms were nice and clean and the hotel accommodations were good overall. However…beware of the bar. We were enjoying some drinks, and my friends who are rather well known alumni athletes were talking with some of the other guests and signing some autographs. We ordered a few drinks and started a tab. Shortly after that, the bartender came over with a tray of shots that she said “the guys at the bar bought these for you guys“, and when we looked up at the bar there was no one there. She also gave three of these drinks to three gentlemen that we did not know who also happened to be in the bar. We figured maybe “the guys” had left and bought the drinks on their way out, we thought nothing of it. Shortly after that, the bartender brought out more shots and said “you have to try these. This is something I made up myself“, again, we really didn’t think anything of it. We thought maybe she was giving us some drinks on the house. Seemed strange, but my friends are offered free things all of the time when they are recognized. Shortly after that, there was another round of more drinks that she claimed or something else that she had came up with…at this point, two rounds of 7 shots, and one of ten. My son was with me who is under age, and obviously unable to drink alcohol, but he did order some food nothing major at all. This is when things went sideways, I went to settle the tab and noticed that all of the shots were on my bill that she claimed were bought by other people, or that she had brought out for us to quote “Try”. The bill was $168 for all of the drinks and the food. I realistically ordered 4 cocktails and an order of wings. I didn’t look, it was late and I was cold and tired of being outside of the game all day. I’m not sure if she was pumping alcohol into us to take advantage because she thought my friends were semi famous, and therefore wealthy, or if the bar isn’t normally that busy and therefore doesn’t generate much in the way of tips so she decided to run up the bill thinking she could earn a decent tip. By the time I had realized the next morning, what had actually happened I had already checked out and it was too late. I also noticed that she was in several photos with me and my friends, which I thought was kind of strange. I don’t recall anyone inviting her to be in our photos… if she really wanted a photo with my friends, all she had to do was ask. The whole thing was kind of creepy looking back on it, and I probably would not stay at this hotel again.

Go to the Douglas for their breakfast. Especially when the chef Jerome is there in the mornings. He puts his heart into his cooking and the quality reflects it. Get a Ham and cheese omelette and you'll be way satisfied.

Clean, safe, and convenient. Everything a travel nurse needs! Moses and Christine at the front desk are friendly and helpful. I wont stay anywhere else for this contract!!! Gym, pool, cafe. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet. Every employee I encountered was smiling and friendly.

Wish the breakfast was continental, but still priced well for food.. Nice beds, Nice Pillows, but the bar really made the experience. Crystal was awesome ! Ask for the Crystal Peach ... EXCELLENT drink.

This hotel is very up-to-date and the rooms are really spacious. The pool is a little on the cool side, but not too the point where it's horrible. It is possible to adapt to the temperature. Staff is pretty friendly

I tend to write reviews when I have something to complain about is that bad karma? In any case the hotel looked new from the outside , staff friendly etc. They charge for breakfast, and all I want is a banana and a muffin. There is a twirl event at Notre Dame this week and we got in late. Room smelled like an old an ash tray I did not ask for another room so partly my fault. But it is just GROSS. all they need to do is give me some baking soda and a vacuum and I'd clean it myself. These Room Ionizers only clean the air , but the continuous supply of old smoke coming from the carpet builds on you after a while. Did I say how gross it is? As you for you smokers who smoke in the rooms, you are some of the rudest people on earth. You probably don't notice it but I want to assure you it would be like me taking a dump in your living room and leaving it there for you
