We heard about this place on Chowdown Cincinnati and decided to take a road trip to check it out. About a 75 minute drive for us. The Friday nite buffet was 15 bucks and included chicken, fish and shrimp, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, slaw and a small salad bar. The buffet is served cafeteria style, which means someone else fixes your plate while you watch. I had chicken and fish and a salad plate and came back a little later for seconds on fish, potatoes and green beans. Everything tasted good and I was full. They had a LOT of different pies so we each got 2 pieces to go (sugar creme and chocolate meringue.) Service was friendly and attentive. This place requires driving 13 miles on some narrow country roads once you leave I-74, so it will probably be our only visit there, but it was nice to be able to eat here in a one-horse town on a beautiful Feb day in the 60s.

My opinion only, was not a fan. Drove an hour and 15 min to eat here. Got the fish dinner for 9 dollars but a side and salad bar for an additional 6 bucks. This is for the salad only not the full salad bar that the menu does not tell you. The salad bar had fried chicken, lasagna and liver and onions and green beans and mash potatoes with gravy. The salad bar is very limited on the fact they charge you 15.00 for it alone and a home crackpot at the end with chilli in it. We barely ate are food cause the fish was battered so heavily with pepper. The wedge fries seemed to taste like they were old. Not a fan.

We found this gem via Yelp all while our "smart" gps guidance in the car was taking us down dirt/gravel roads in middle of corn fields. Yay. We were SO happy to see this place, and even happier to dine within!! The buffet is quaint yet divine. The sweet sauerkraut was a first for us both. Unique to say the least. Asked for a recipe for it, but they couldn't tell us. Dernit. Other foods delicious, and the peanut butter pie is to DIE for! Oreo crust!! YUM!

this place is out n.middle of nowhere but we'll worth the drive even from the north side.... yummy yummy yummy is all I can say about the fried chicken, homemade mash potatoes, beef n noodles & my hubby hade country fried steak and greatlyrics impressed. The buffet isn't hugh but what they have is all pretty good. The service was on point, and we went at an odd time so no wait.

Deeeeelicious chicken...super crunchy but light, good saltiness, not overly greasy. Took two pieces of our "to go"...classic sugar pie (totally new to this "outsider), cherry pie that's more of a cherry cream pie...both tasty. The pie crust seemed a little different. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back to try other menu items!

If you're looking for home style food that your grandma made then this is the place to go. A lot of fried food and basic vegetables. Service was really good. Casual dining experience.

If you haven't eaten here, you should be ashamed of yourself! The buffet is awesome, and I am a board certified fat guy, so this message is fully approved. The folks were incredibly nice, the joint was super clean and did I mention the chicken was of legend status? Seriously, do yourself the favor and eat there!

For a spur of the moment "out to eat" Friday night, it wasn't bad. Quite the 'que them up n move them through' type of place. We didn't have to wait longer be seated.Opting for the all you can eat food bar, choices were rather unimaginative. Servers fill your plate as you move down the bar. My usual 1/2frozen pea and 1/2cottage cheese salad plate was 2 weird to ask for in a crowd! BTW, main course hot food preceeded the salad section so my meal tempo was off a beat.I didn't have room for dessert, it's a pity.Hot steam table food with the fried biscuit and apple butter perk seems to be below Stone's fine reputation. I will go back before another 10 or so years pass, I promise.

Absolutely fantastic. Just damn good chicken. Worth the drive from Indy. Sugar cream pie and fried biscuits with apple butter also outstanding. Service amazing too - pretty sure the family that owns it runs it too - highly, highly recommend!!

The daughter was working from the next table on her laptop and was extremely loud. You could hear every word. Had to wait a while for the chicken, but it was delicious.
