Have been dining here for several years. Food is always awesome. Owner comes by to check and chat. Great place.

I was put on hold and ignored. I was gonna order lots of food. Make sure you don't call them or order from here.

After a flight down the Chicago Lakeshore, made a stop for some tacos. All of the food was good.Started off with chips and salsa. While the salsa was nothing to write home about, the chips were really good. I am guessing these were made in-house. They were super thick and crunchy.I ordered one each of the tacos Al Pastor, Chorizo & Lengua. Each one of the tacos were good. Also came with beans and rice.Would I come back? Yes.Bonus for being at the airport.

I'd give this place zero stars if possible. I am not one to ever send food back but I sent 1 appetizer and 2 dinners back because they were just that bad. Even the kids grilled cheese was so awful that my 5 year old wouldn't eat it. There is a photo on their wall that calls this place a "hidden gem" and that's laughable. This is by far the worst Mexican food I've ever had. As a Hispanic woman, I'm embarrassed for the owner. The waitress we had was great and the only good part of our experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I will not be returning.

Best Mexican food in the area love the service and the only place the owner comes out to visit and make sure everything is great

For what it's lacking in atmosphere, it more then makes for in food. Great food, great menu, fair priced and large portions. Next to Griffith Airport.

Fabulous Mexican-style cuisine. Ask "what's Jesse cooking" for exciting takes on traditional Mexican dishes.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. If your feeding children then by all means, order a dinner. If your feeding an adult better order 3 for one person. My parents spent 60$ for 3 buritto grande dinners and large guacamole. The burritos were all 4inches long! The guacamole tasted like STRAIGHT lime!!! Literally had better food from taco bell! Do not waste your money. The salsa and sour cream was the best part of the meal!

I’ve never been able to find an authentic Mexican restaurant until I visited Mi Tierra. The portions are plentiful, affordable and full of flavor. Don Chuy is a humble, kind, & generous person!Despite the nasty review left by Ingried Nathansen, their review says more about them and their character. Comparing authentic Mexican food to Taco Bell says enough. There is no comparison. None.I’m embarrassed for Ingried and their lack of appropriate communication skills. How painful to know that there are people who speak to other human beings in such an irate & derogatory tone. Maybe your dining experience would’ve been addressed at that moment had you expressed your concerns in person rather than resorting to being a keyboard warrior. Someone should revoke your telephone for at least a week so that you can have the opportunity to focus on your etiquette and manners.I have never had a bad experience at Mi Tierra. However, if I did…… I would address it in person because humans make mistakes.Just like Ingried did by ordering the wrong burrito. ??‍♀️Please do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a delicious meal served by some of the greatest people who truly care about you and your dining experience.PS the response from the owner shows what a class act establishment they are.Bravo Mi Tierra, bravo!!Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian options! Delicious too!

I've never had a bad meal here and I have been going off and on for years, I just wish it wasn't so out of the way. Great Mexican food

Too comfortable ripping off their customers. This place gets more and more disappointing. They switch up ingredients with no warning. The portions are small. They always did to go soup in a large styrofoam container. This last time I ordered they gave me soup in a small container. Poured it in a bowl at home, didn't even fill it halfway. Yet I paid same price as always. This place is awfully inconsistent. The employees aren't the greatest either. I've seen them argue multiple times with customers.

OMG! Whoever called it Mexican lied!! Their idea of al pastor was pork meat with McCormick taco seasoning on it. The worst wannabe Mexican I've ever had. This is definitely not a place I'll go back to EVER!

Excellent food. Huge selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The vegan chorizo was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
