“We stopped in for our first time for a Valentine's Day lunch. The exterior of the building is tidy & attractive, as is the entryway. The restrooms are clean and nicely decorated. We entered the main dining room, where we were invited to seat ourselves; we chose a table next to the windows in order to enjoy the view of Hamilton Lake. Our server, Sam, was also serving about five persons at the bar, but came quickly with menus and took our drink orders. The restaurant offers a short list of draft beers, but those offered are good ones! My husband ordered the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and i selected the weekly special flatbread, Shrimp Scampi. Our food was served in under ten minutes. Both flatbreads had plenty of meat and other toppings and were very good. We'd recommend both! We plan to return when in the area; well done, Howie's!”

“After the horse-drawn parade, it was a great way to warm up. It was my first time. I found the food was great. Even though they were very busy, the staff was right on top of things. People were seated and waited in a prompt manner. Very friendly and helpful. I will be back.”

“We were in town for a family event and decided to go out to eat our first night at the lake. The food and service were great. Coming up from Georgia (we love our fried chicken down here) I was a little leery about getting the "broasted" chicken, but it was great and they had a really nice salad bar as well. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area.”

“We were looking for somewhere to eat on the way home from the eclipse. A friend found BFM on Google, so we decided to stop. When we first pulled into the parking lot, we were not sure we were in the right place. It looks more like a polebarn than a restaurant. But we went in and were greeted by the owner. The food, no matter breakfast or lunch is very good, the coffee, and other drinks impress me, plus the benefit of knowing you're supporting a private business that flourishes against public businesses. I had looked up a couple places in town as options and we all decided to try Mama’s place.We were all satisfied that we did.I like that they offered single hotcakes. “Thiss place is great. Think all the ice creams are all hand made. You can really taste the quality in the ingredients. I got some kind of bourbon pecan and you could really taste the bourbon flavor. Been there several times haven't been disappointed yet. They sell chocolates as well those were worth trying.”

“The younger looking guy with the hat, is absolutely amazing. He makes any drink I've had so far, absolutely wonderful! And I love every sip! So does my fiance! We have only been here three times, and feel like we are very welcomed. We often hear songs that we can dance to , and we love to dance :). The one guy bartender with the hate, is absolutely welcoming. And so kind! And extremely creative with his drinks! I feel like this is most definitely the place to go to just feel like you can be yourself with no judgement. I love coming here and I really enjoy the bartender we often get! “My Reuben n his pot roast dinner were great as usual but... Onion rings were quite done. Dinner had minimal gravy so asked for some extra. Asked for some extra n she comes back with condiment dish with a good TSP of gravy. So I went to counter n got what appeared to be chicken gravy. After all that he said the heck with it. Maybe they were out but just tell me that.”
