Place is disgrace for a Mexican restaurant. You do not get much for your money there. The rice was soggy and beans taste as if they were out of a can. I ordered a taco dinner and gordita dinner guy on the phone told me it would be three of each ,when I got home there was only one of each and the meals were not cheap! They were too cheap to even have the AC running in the building it was hot in there! Will never go back there again, I do not recommend eating their place is a dump! I gave them zero stars but it won't let me post unless I give one star.

This restaurant has not closed, it MOVED. Located behind KFC at 4120 Calumet, next to Olympia Lanes Bowling. Do not miss this excellent food with HOMEMADE tortillas. Love love love the barbacoa . Husband prefers the steak burritos. And the tortas are excellent as well. Plus the sopas are homemade. Very friendly staff. This is very casual and they do a lot of take out in addition to dine-in This is my first Yelp review because I hope everyone will try this little hidden gem

You don't go to a restaurant like this for the ambiance. Well, because there isn't much of it. As a matter of fact the place is as about as plain as plain gets. They moved from Homan Avenue to Calumet Avenue, in the old KFC location right off the Calumet Avenue exit from the toll road. Well then, why should you stop by this place? Quite simply, because of the food. The nice women that cook here do everything from scratch. They make gorditas, corn tortillas, and large flour tortillas for burritos. Yes that's right, they don't buy these items, then fill them. Absolutely not, they make everything from scratch! The family that owns this restaurant is very nice. As a matter of fact, stepping into their old restaurant on Homan Avenue used to feel as if you just stepped into your aunt's (if you had an aunt that was Mexican) house for lunch or dinner. Everything about this place is simple. Even the menu has a small amount of choices to select from. The reason for this is, everything that is on the menu, they do very well. Don't come here expecting fast service because all items are made to order. If you want your order expedited then call ahead so that you don't have to wait once you arrive.
