I’ve been eating these sandwiches for decades, since I was a small kid. They are not what they used to be. Not though meat. Still tastes like the same, but definitely more bread than anything. 4 sandwiches was almost 60 bucks!! Not enough meat on them to be charging almost 13 bucks a sando.

I just moved to Indiana a couple months ago but this is easily my favorite sub place. The staff is always very patient with me and very chill and friendly when I go in. The food is well worth the price raise people seem to be complaining about. Will for sure be coming here as long as it's open, which hopefully will be a very very long time.

the worst "reuben" i've ever had. Turano bread is usually good, but not in this case. it had the flavor and texture comparable to how i'd imagine a wet sock would taste. soggy beyond belief. speaking of soggy, the peppers didn't help in this case. this "reuben" was also LOADED with the most mid pickles i've had from a sandwich place. only mcdonald's has pickles that are worse. my buddy commented on his, "i feel like i just ate a vinegar sandwich." it seemed like there was cheese on it, however undetectable underneath all of the residual pickle juice after i picked the sandwich clean of them. the corned beef would be comparable to how (i'd imagine) a lot lizard would taste after a hard night's work. completely unpalatable. how i took more than 3 bites is unfathomable. oh, and no thousand island either. this soggy pickle and "meat" cart is an abomination unto the reuben. a reuben should, at the very least, have rye bread and 1k island dressing. both are MIA, and any kind of flavor is a POW to pickle juice. i've given this place a chance one too many times. i will not be going here again, as every time i've tried, i've been sorely disappointed. third time's the charm, i guess. take care and thanks for reading, i'll be throwing up now.

Very disappointing. Prices go up $2.00 on the sandwiches. I was told they no longer carry any Salad Sides. Sure, the recipes may remain consistent, but it is the "care" that is relevant. I read a few of the responses from the new ownership - not professional to challenge someone that has written an honest review. I do not get out to the Hammond area very often anymore. Moved farther away and was looking forward to a good experience, but instead was sadly disappointed. There is not even a menu board anymore. The original owners made the old store homey and inviting - the new location leaves much to be desired. Needless to say - you lost my business.

3 subs and 2 fries. $56.00.... Tony you and you're partner will be out of business before you know it.. $12.00 for fries that where soggy as hell lol ridiculous... then the girl who took the on her phone texting the whole time, BTW nice teeth have the guy that was making the subs be the cashier....I did like you're subs don't give me cause you had to raise prices.. I will never be back... And then you take on a pizza place first make sure you can run a sub business....

Worst corn beef I have ever tasted. I got a Reuben it was terrible. Soggy bread even the sauerkraut was bad on the Reuben.

I always looked forward to coming here. Was Hammonds gem! Best Corned Beef in NWI. Now to me it is not the same. The portions are smaller, and prices are higher. I understand inflation on prices of product and all that. I am just so disappointed. Did not get the pickles that I asked for. Meat was dry and way too much mayo, did not taste the same. This is the first time I have had it since the move and the second time since the ole man passed. Please try to bring back the quality, passion and love that they used to put into every order consistently. I will try it again in the future, but I am going to wait in hopes the kinks are ironed out.

Eh,. They raised the prices due to vendors raising their prices. However, the sandwiches are not the same caliber as the old owners. 13$ for a sub that has 5$ of meat. They used to take out the bread to pack more meat in. What a shame. Still same meat products, just less. Not worth the 13$. I'll make my own at home.

I feel so ripped off from this place. I was charged nearly $20 for a small fry and a sub sandwich that had more pickles than it should have with a couple slices of ham and cheese. Oh yeah, the fries were so over cooked they were uneatable ?. I will never go to this restaurant again. I feel taken advantage
