Sorry but I've tried CBBQ several times (Car mel and 82nd street) and I'm always left wanting...wanting some really good, smoky, bbq. I guess chain bbq places are difficult to push out a great, authentic BBQ experience.

After working all the way on the west side of Indianapolis, and since I was starving coz I worked through lunch, I decided to treat myself to City BBQ and head to the Hotel I've been put up in since a house fire.For a change, I got the Nashville Hot sandwich... and it is terrible.CRIMINALLY so!It's thin, heavily battered and overcooked to the point where shoe leather would be more appetizing.You know, things haven't been going well lately, but I've been eating City BBQ since the only location was a family owned spot on Main Street in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and the little grandbabies were wiping tables and filling the salt and pepper shakers while the Grandparents cooked delicious food. If they're still living they'd regret selling the name, as this sandwich obliterates every bit of what feeding customers a good meal meant to that hard working family and what they put into the name outside of that place with the red and white tablecloths.The service at the drive thru was impeccable, however.I just wish I wasn't hungry but, too tired to go find something else to eat as I sit in this room, missing my home and belongings as if things weren't bad enough these days.BUT, NOW I KNOW THAT I SHOULD HAVE GONE NEXT DOOR TO POPEYE'S FOR A CHICKEN SANDWICH!!!And, from now on I will.

Ordered 3 plate combos:- (2x)ribs & sausage side of cornbread: ribs were very dry without the sauce on them, and sausage was good , unfortunately cornbread was one of the worst I’ve ever had it was VERY dry and bland-pull pork & ribs (same as the first ones dry but once sauce was on them they were ok )Pull pork tasted like shredded chicken with no moisture** the Texas toast was good ?

Meat should always be served HOT. We pay for the heat that carries the flavor and for HEALTHY food. Our briskett was not even warm. Served with a smile. Guests next to me: pulled chicken COLD, brisket COLD, ribs COLD. Five employees present and "hangin" in the prep area. This place has FLUNKED my minimum standard test.
Arrived about 30 minutes before closing and they still had all the meats.
