El Chavo gets full marks for service. The staff was great, offering suggestions and explanations of less-familiar offerings. The food was also up to par, though (reasonably enough) the menu wasn't huge. The main issues are, first, it's in a food court inside a store, with crowded seating, grocery carts everywhere and a challenging layout to be able to both walk in and order from. Lots of "excuse me... pardon me..." trying to order. The second problem is that the prices are really steep. You're paying a high premium for the convenience of not having to leave the grocery store to get a meal.

Friendly staff, clean place to sit, and the food is SO yummy and authentic. We've had a few tacos and la Chilanga torta. Highly recommend the torta!! We love it!

My husband and I were on a shopping trip at Saraga International Market in Castleton and decided to stop for a little lunch. I had tamales, refried beans, and rice, and my husband had asado with beans and rice. We both had some horchata. Being inside Saraga means it's going to be a little cold in the winter. I think it's just a function of the space being so big. The staff was super kind and very helpful. The food arrived quickly and hot and it was delicious. No complaints whatsoever. Would absolutely eat here again.

The absolute worst tacos I have ever purchased. So bad that I threw it in the trash. I ordered the three taco meal. Steak looked boiled, Campechanos was terrible, Pastor was terrible. Their meat looked mushy & boiled. No char from the grill whatsoever. Food was cold. Not even warm. The chips & salsa was good and the Tamarind drink was nice. My Mexican friend that was with me told me to throw it away and said she was so happy she didn’t order anything from them. After throwing my food away, I went about Chicken Kebabs from Mama Saaj International and they were absolutely delicious! So good that I’m currently writing this review as I’m sitting here waiting for my food the 2nd day in a row!

This is my first time to visit El Chavo. I really wanted to like it. The employees were very friendly and helpful!! The chips and salsa were surprisingly very good. The beans and rice were good. The problem came with the Flautas. I don't know if I've ever had such dry chicken. It made it very hard to eat and certainly not enjoyable. Other than that it would've been good. You might want to check on that chicken. It was early so maybe it was yesterday's chicken and that's what made it so dry? Hopefully just a bad day today. I don't know but that was definitely the downside. Again, the employees were great.

Im not buying or recommend anyone anymore Why does the sour cream have this black stuff in it?? Never seen that before. This place is cheap!! Cheapo!! Doesn't care for customers satisfaction. It's hard times and you take my $11 for something I can make for under $5 and have more. When I order from Applebee's the same appetuzer, I'd hardly can finish it for the same price. Go back to the streets ..cheapo!!

We were at the Saraga international market at Castleton today. You must try El Chavo while you are there!!!These were the BEST chicken enchiladas I've ever had!!! I eat Mexican food all of the time. Trust me, these were delicious!!!!!!Excellent homemade salsas we're offered. Great service. I'm definitely going back!!!

They don’t skimp; the Tinga Tostada came piled with their marinated chicken, and fresh toppings like lettuce, tomato, créma, and what I assumed to be cotija cheese all on top of a crispy corn tortilla. It was accompanied by red and green sauces in which the date it was made was written, assuring you that everything has been made fresh.This place is a perfect spot to grab a bite to make sure you don’t shop on an empty stomach!

Me and my fiancé were there today the food is absolutely amazing probably the best we have had we live a hour away and we’re visiting family and decided it is now our go to spot it is reasonable price great customer service that is as perfect as the food I highly recommend everyone give this a try it was so great we ordered food to go after we ate

The sweetest staff! The steak has so much flavor you can definitely tell it's marinated! I don't eat dairy so I had the steak quesadilla no cheese or sour cream & was very impressed! The pico de Gallo is great on its own! Good portion sizes reasonable prices. Clean tables. Great wait time. It's a must try during your grocery shop or when you just want some good food.Dietary restrictions: More then willing to accommodate you if you don't want cream or cheese.
