I went to Jamaican Breeze to get Oxtails. On Sept. 6, 2020. The Oxtails were tuff and difficult to eat. When I cook my Oxtails at home they melt in my mouth. Not theirs they were not good at all. The total was $17.98 however they charged my card $20.18. The customer service was okay. I will never go there again. If you're looking for Oxtails don't go to Jamaican Breeze! On a scale from 1 to 10; I give them a zero. Save your money. I had to select 1 in order to post my review. They don't deserve it tho.

This place has quickly become my go-to carry out spot during COVID-19. The food is incredible and the staff is always pleasant to interact with. Located a bit off the beaten path, Jamaica Breeze makes itself known with it's flamboyant exterior and a wall painted to be a sign. The j*** chicken is obviously incredible, definitely go for the dark meat. The white meat is also good, but if you want full flavor dark is the way to go. Entrees come with fried plantains - I wish I could order these by the quart because they are so satisfying. I haven't tried other menu items as of yet, but I'm certain I will. Support this local business and get yourself some high quality authentic food!

Y.U.M! We have had Jamaican Breeze on our "list" to order for far too long. We finally pulled the trigger and ordered quite a few different items to sample the menu. The order online feature was a little clunky, thus the 4 stars. Their specials are not there to order online, which was frustrating. We ordered the chicken, plantains, and j*** shrimp. The sauces were amazing, and servings were generous. Nothing was too spicy, but the kick was nice. I am excited to keep ordering from them and try more items.

Great food, vibe, and customer service. You feel at home while you enjoy their delicious food. During my 1st visit, my friends and I shared the platter and had plenty to take home afterwards.

Really impressed with Jamaican Breeze! I went in to order carry out for lunch, and they had my order ready in about 5 minutes. Love that they have so many vegetarian options! The mac & cheese and cabbage were my favorites. The veggie patty had a little too much heat for me, but I'm pretty lame when it comes to spicy food, ha! The interior of the restaurant was clean and vibrant, and they had a handful of tables outside on the patio. I will definitely be back!

I've had the j*** chicken and the italian stew and both are amazing. Their hot sauce is delicious and a must on the side with any dish!! 10/10 recommend

This is it. Finally, I found a great Jamaican spot in Indianapolis! The food across the menu is delicious! My first time here I ordered the Oxtail with an additional side of Mac and cheese and a beef patty. My dad ordered the J*** Chicken (Quarter White) with mild sauce and Coco Bread. My wife ordered the J*** Chicken (Quarter Dark) with hot sauce. The Oxtail was as advertised! The meat fell off the bone and was seasoned perfectly. I tried my wife's J*** Chicken and it was delicious. The sauces for the J*** Chicken were served on the side, which I am not a huge fan of. If I ordered it again I would request that they served the chicken with the sauce on top. In addition, the hot sauce that my wife ordered was not spicy at all. The rice and peas are typical for a Jamaican joint. The cabbage was cooked perfectly and I wish they provided more than a garnish. Same with the plantains - great flavor and not overcooked. Finally, I thought I was going to be disappointed at first glance at the mac and cheese. That was not the case. It is very cheesy. It is even better when mixed with the J*** Chicken sauce. They provide very generous portion sizes, especially for the Oxtail, which is not always the case at other Jamaican restaurants. The entrees all come with rice and peas and a "garnish" of cabbage and plantains. My only wish is that they would allow you to substitute the rice and peas, cabbage and/or plantains. I asked to sub out the rice and peas for Mac and cheese and was told I could not do that. This is the first Jamaican spot that I have been to anywhere that has a set menu for the sides. I came here during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I could not dine in. However, the service that I received at the counter was very friendly. They had about 10 customers standing in line at any point while I was ordering/waiting on my order. They do a great job of getting you in and out. They also offer call ahead ordering, which is great to just come in and pick up your food to avoid any lines.

We visited Jamaican Breeze yesterday and had a great overall experience. They had vegetarian options for my hubby, baby-friendly food options (our 1-year-old devoured the mac and cheese) and they were great about gluten-free options for me. When you arrive, you can grab a menu and a table or order straight away. Either way you order at the counter (my sense is that most of the steady stream of patrons were regulars, as were our friends who'd suggested we meet there). Overall the place has a really laid-back vibe, and the staff are super friendly. The best part tho? The food! My steamed fish was SO good, and the rice and beans/cabbage on the side were plentiful. I had a full meal leftover for my Monday lunch. Definitely will go back to Jamaican Breeze. It's a little island oasis in the middle of Indy, with a chill vibe and fantastic food!

This place here is the best in town. They never seem to disappoint me food is so flavorful wish they would give a lil more of the ackee for the price i pay. Now when it comes to the dumplings they're not frugal they will give you, what you ask for. Ambience is everything, atmosphere is there great music playing in the back ground.

I wanted to try almost everything on the menu but settled on the curry chicken which seemed less messy than some of the bone-in options as I was there for a work lunch and didn't want to get too messy. I really enjoyed everything on my plate- the cabbage was slightly pickled and refreshing and the plantains were a great sweet addition to the meal. There were a large variety of bottled drink options which I did not try but looked tempting. I was glad to see this building activated after the former restaurant left. It's a really neat old building and Jamaican Breeze has added vibrant colors and sounds to the space. The music was a little bit too loud for midday but it was festive though. Would like to try a few more dishes here. Lots of seating and parking available.

The best, most authentic Caribbean restaurant between New York and St. Louis. Seriously. I eat there regularly. The j*** chicken is straight outta Kingston, the brown stew is a killer Thursday special. The callalou is perfection. I like the prices too. Low. Can't be beat. Great bar. Skip the macsnd cheese dude, but everything eLse us to die 4.
