At first I thought it’s not too bad for restaurant in America, I mean it’s average in general, but better than others. The food seem to be tasty, BUT I was struggling with food poisoning all night after the dinner.

Well this place was supremely disappointing. We literally got kicked out for staying too long. Our party spent over $750 and they treated us like scum. Will never be back. Waitress had no interest in checking on us and forgot to put in two orders. Fettuccine had no flavor and borderline gross. Mediterranean pasta with chicken tasted like plain olive oil and undercooked chicken. Sent back the lasagna, it was like a big bowl of cheese marinara soup. The Dino’s steak was the only thing worth eating but it was over cooked. The special Veal meatballs and vodka sauce was edible . Ordered a couple apps nothing special. The drinks weren’t even that great. I couldn’t be more disappointed in a restaurant to be honest. Never been kicked out of a restaurant. Was told the table was reserved and we had to leave. Oddly we weren’t able to reserve a table (they said no reservations) but the one we were at was reserved after us? If I was offered a free come dinner meal worth $750 I would tell them no thanks.

I went there because I craved Chicken Piccata. *I recommend it, btw*Cons:-It can be a little bit of a wait, but that's because they're busy, not lazy. And it was nothing ridiculous, just don't expect to walk in and get a table.-Parking was tight (but everywhere seems to be in Indianapolis)Pros:-Friendly and attentive staff-Didn't feel rushed or pressured (I'm a slow eater)-Prices were reasonable (esp for what you get)-Drink was well made10 out of 10. I would visit again if I lived there.

Mama Carollas is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Indianapolis! I have never had anything there that was less than amazing. The wine selction and cocktails are also excellent. They do not take reservations on weekends, so arrive early or plan to enjoy a drink or two while you wait for a table.

A gorgeous restaurant with family atmosphere and historic vibe. With food that is probably underpriced for the quality and atmosphere, this was well worth the venture and we will definitely be back!A favorite: bruschetta is often hit or miss. This one is worth it! You must give it a try.An odd addition: orange slices?By the way, it took us months to figure out that you do not have to get a reservation here. It looks full from online reservations but in fact only some of the seats are reservable and the rest is first come first serve. Plenty of seats!

One of my favorite Italian local restaurants in the city. Variety of options. Best cocktail list I've ever seen. ( I like the foofoo martinis). The service every time I've been there is top notch.

Here's the thing, if you're going to say that you are the best Italian food in the city, then you really better deliver. This place was simply satisfactory at best.Maybe all the hype ruined it, but I did not enjoy myself at all.The server was extremely rude, the food was just okay, and the atmosphere was dark, old, and dingy.People raved about the fried ravioli but I may as well have fried some cheese at home. Greasy. Not good.Parking: Very limited number of spots.

We got the Antipasti plate, chicken piccata, and veal medallions. The meal was lovely, but the veal was tough and had the flavor and texture of liver. We didn't return it. Just didn't finish it. Our waiter was very nice. He ran through his routine introduction pretty quickly, but was very nice. We will come back. Sorry, no photos. We were enjoying ourselves.
