Our first time dining at Nesso and we were not disappointed! Our server was very friendly and helpful in giving recommendations from the menu. The octopus and burrata were both yummy dishes to start. The scallops were absolute perfection!! Would highly recommend!!

I am giving Nesso 1 star because of the way myself and my colleagues were treated by the manager of this restaurant. We reserved 3 tables because we intended to have 20 guests due to a conference my company was putting on. We had to reserve these tables separately because we were not able to meet the food/drink minimum to reserve the private party space. The manager was not pleased that we did that, so much so that when we arrived with our party, he was very rude and unaccommodating. I was baffled at the lack of hospitality from the manager. To add to it, we had some guests not arrive on time due to their flights being delayed by the weather. Therefore, the 3rd table we reserved, we didn’t end up needing. He had the audacity to tell me, “your company does this all the time, therefore we have introduced a cancellation fee of $25. I will be charging your card for this.” This is AFTER we spent over $1,000 on dinner and tips. I will be encouraging my company to never book with this restaurant again, especially if they are not grateful for the consistent business we bring. If you are more concerned about charging me a $25 cancellation fee, over the thousands of dollars we just spent at your restaurant, this isn’t the place I want to be at anyways.

I always like to try somewhere a couple of times to make sure that I have a fully formed opinion because I know that there can be inconsistencies day to day in restaurants. That said, I have eaten at Nesso three times, and my experience has been the same each time. The restaurant itself is beautiful, one of Indy's nicest inside. We get stuck with many "restaurant catalog" places here, which is not exciting. The drink and wine menus are also some of the best for fine dining in the city. The sommelier is always knowledgeable and helpful when ordering wine, with many amazing choices. The service has always been great here as well overall. The issues for me consistently revolve around the food. The level of cuisine doesn't match the overall feeling this restaurant portrays. Our appetizers have been good each time. It was nothing amazing, but it was good for Indy. I was with four people the first time I went, and all four pasta dishes could have been better. The bolognese was very lemony, over-salted, and underdeveloped. I ordered a steak because I was playing it safe from the pasta. I had not enjoyed the times before, and the steak was chewy and over-salted. The most recent time I went, we were with a group of 8, and everyone I was with did not enjoy their entree. The level is not there for the price of dining here. When you spend hundreds of dollars on dinner and walk away not recommending anything at the table, there is a problem. I love many Cunningham restaurants, and this, unfortunately, is not one of them.

Dined with a group of friends. Had several appetizers, salads and entrees. The tiramisu was excellent! Our server was polite and attentive. He was great about dividing our bill for us. We all commented on how the noise level in the restaurant was nice and low so it was easy to engage in conversation.

Apps and cocktails were great, but my Fennel Sausage Rigatoni was extremely spicy, like the spiciest Italian food I've ever had and my nose was running by the time I finished it. Unless it's supposed to be that way, it looks like 3x too much red pepper was added (to my untrained eye). Ordered on the evening of 3/4/24

My wife and I have frequented several of downtown Indianapolis' fine dining restaurants throughout the years, and we both agreed that we had the best dining experience of our lives last night at Nesso. Our waiter, Josh, was so passionate and knowledgeable about Italian culture, including the wine, the food and the history of both. The food was amazing, probably the best pasta we've ever had. We had an amazing Chianti to go with our meal, which Josh pointed us to based on our existing wine likes.

Celebrated a late Valentine's Day with my girlfriend at Nesso. We loved the ambience and the food was phenomenal. Jay, our server, was very patient with us and answered all our questions thoroughly.

We've been to Nesso a few times and it continues to be our favorite Italian restaurant in Indianapolis. Our server, Hannah, was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested two appetizers we've never tried: the octopus and the Parmesan cauliflower. These were absolutely delicious! The wine selection never disappoints and one of our friends ordered a mezcal cocktail she said was one of the best cocktails she's had. So much so she ordered a second. Thank you for another great dining experience!

The food and service here are exceptional! My only complaint about the restaurant itself is that during the winter there is a draft that goes through the restaurant so I wore my jacket during dinner. It made for a chilly dining experience! I also had an issue with the parking here. With the restaurant being located in The Alexander, we ended up doing valet parking. There is typically street parking through Park Mobile app but we dined in on a busy event weekend so we had to use the valet service through the hotel. The parking garage was full that they directed us to initially so we came back around to the valet and they told us a significantly different price from the first time we got there, which was not even a 5 minute gap. Not sure if there was a miscommunication between the valet workers or if they were trying to pocket the difference but be aware of this if you choose to do valet parking through the hotel to eat here.

Our food was excellent! We had the burrata appetizer and the pasta for dinner. All so good! I didn't know what I wanted for a cocktail so the server/bartender made something up and it was perfect. The server was very helpful and very friendly. The only issue at all was that it was freezing in the restaurant. I also heard the person in the booth beside us say how cold they were. I wanted dessert but did not like the choices, but all the other food was so good. Highly recommend!!

We love Nesso for many reasons, notably, its menu structure and offerings; the highly professional staff; the extensive wine and spirits menu, as well as the craft cocktails created by superior staff; and its location.
