My recent dining experience, today, leaves me to believe this is one of the best dining options in the state. Our server, AJ, was absolutely amazing, reminds us of a young Fred Sirieix with his friendliness and quality of service. The food is flawless in every dish, especially the PIADAKIA (lamb chops). There isn’t much else to say, it’s just an amazing dining experience.

We look forward to our next meal at Petos! We enjoyed the food, the beer, the server, and the instruction on the proper way to eat a gyro! Thank you for an excellent experience! See you soon…

They messed up by taking our order, then not making the food, then an hour later we asked and only then they copped to this mistake. Then offered no fix. Really disappointed as we were excited by this place, but this experience was unacceptable.

Made a reservation for 4 and the table was ready for us and we were seated promptly. Our waitress showed up quickly and asked for our drink order. The wine list is your normal “Chardonnay, Merlot, etc.” so the waitress was helpful with bringing two samples for our wives. Odd that it was only two tastes per table though. The wines were good though. Our drink list didn’t have the insert for beer so we didn’t know what was available until just before our food arrived as I saw them serving beers to others. Another waiter said, Oh you must have gotten the menu where the insert fell out… so it was a known issue. They do have Mythos and two other Greek beers, a couple of German ones and 1664 which is a French beer. The rating for the 3 on service is it took what seems like close to 45 minutes to an hour to get our food. The food was very good and the portions were really too much for all of us so we all had take home boxes. One other odd thing was the gyro sandwich I had was t really a sandwich but meat placed on pita and then covered in fries. Tasted great but just kind of an odd way to serve the meal, a larger plate would have been better. My wife loved the green beans and they reminded her of her grandmother’s (Macedonian) cooking.

Delicious, authentic, and I loved that the server's mother was in the kitchen. We were new to a couple of the dishes we tried and he walked us through the whole thing! Loved it!

I had a great experience at an authentic Greek restaurant located in downtown Carmel. I tried their lamb gyro and salad, and both were delicious. The customer service was also excellent.Parking: Sometimes it’s hard to find parking on weekend.

The ambiance was wonderful. The food was decent and the menu options are plentiful. The moussaka was excellent and by far the best main we all had that night!!! The gyro platter was a large portion, but was rather plain able lacked flavor. The gyros sandwich was great, seasoned well, and finished nicely with the appropriate accoutrements. We had a table of 4 for dinner. 3 of our main entrees for came out fairly quickly, but the 4th main (gyros platter) came out 30 minutes later, after the rest of the table had finished eating. Our waiter was personable, but very inattentive. He didn't check to make sure we were all served until 15 minutes after the 3 mains arrived and told us he'd have the 4th main out right away, but yet another 15 minutes went by with no food, no drink refills, no waiter. The owner stopped by our table and we told him about our experience so he is aware of and can address his service issues. We enjoyed a sampling of desserts which were all very good. Our group collectively assumed it was just an off night due growing pains from moving to a new location. We want them to succeed so we'll definitely try Petos again in a few months.

Door dash tonight a new place for us. Tried hummus, chocolate baklava, moussaka, shrimp pita. All were delicious! Will try in person next time.

First time at this restaurant. The weight staff was friendly, quick to meet our requests. Our food arrived but not all at the same time and we waited for a number of minutes for our friends to get their food before we could all start eating together. For a Wednesday evening the restaurant was not crowded, but the noise level was very high and we had trouble hearing each other talk. There were 6 of us so sitting at a long table instead of a round table so that was part of the problem. Also, the menu item prices seemed higher than other Greek/Middle East restaurants in the area. However, we will go back now that we know what to expect.

Ordered the filet, cooked to perfection, the sides and appetizers just as great (and they do matter as much, if not more than the meat itself). The service from hostess and server was excellent. I will say it did take longer than normal to receive the food but, the bottle of wine kept us busy so it was fine. Adorable set up, love that it's intimate. Would return, would recommend.
