My first experience eating a sugar crème pie. This place puts a slight twist on a classic. Must eat here

Nowhere to sit, nothing to drink, and the apple pie was ice cold .... so cold I couldn't even taste it. Just tasted cold and wet.

We bought three pies only to later read the ingredients and find lard being used. The wonderful lady we called informed us it was pork lard and that since we couldn’t eat it due to dietary reasons she would refund us the money for the two pies with lard.Customer service was excellent and I’ll be coming back soon to get the Passionfruit Pie. It was hands down one of the most delicious pies I have ever had in my life!

The pie is mediocre at best. The apples were raw, and the pie was ridiculously overpriced. I hate hurting small businesses but at the same time, you’re better off getting a pie from the grocery store

Having heard so much about this place went here to try their famous pies! They have soo many options to choose from and you would need to be here almost everyday to try them out!Pies: We got the pineapple and passion fruit pie and the cashew coconut pie. The pineapple and passion fruit pie was quite sour and the topmost layer was gelatinous passion fruit which is not the texture I like. The base biscuit crumb was the saving grace. The second pie had a wafer base with custard mixed with cashew butter and coconut shavings. The custard and toppings were nice (a little bit too sweet) but the base was soggy and not something we could bit in. The base tasted stale and hence wasn’t the best in the overall sense. Maybe the choices were not the best (one was recommended by the staff) but this isn’t for me! They already have boxes ready to go so once you place the order the pie piece is ready. Plus they were quite cold so you might want to give it five mins to get a little less coldService: Super sweet and helpful!Ambience: Nothing much in terms of ambience. It’s a pickup place.

I've been here multiple times. So, I placed a prepaid order for 4 oatmeal creme pies to be picked up yesterday. I ran out of time yesterday, so I came by today only to be told they don't have any left. So obviously, the ones I had were sold, and they couldn't even give me the courtesy to call me. So I drove over an hour today to be told they're out.Why even place a prepaid order if they sell them before you ever get here? They had my phone number on the ticket behind the counter to call me. Nope, sell them. Who cares about a prepaid order. This will definitely be my last visit here.

I don't care if it's pricey, it's a great splurge item. Love having this in our neighborhood.

Totally overrated. The good, the bad, and the ugly below…5/5: Staff and service VERY helpful and professional! They love what they do, and will treat you likewise.4/5: Their pies taste good, but they’re not amazing. I found the flavoring to be a little plain/bland, and just far too much crust for my liking. I realize some people like this, but it makes me wonder if some of the 5/5 reviews are just sucked in by the hype of a trendy pie shop near Broadripple, biased taste buds? Honestly I probably am also - if I bought one of these pies at Kroger, I’d say it sucked!3/5: Their pot pies are even less desirable. Tons of crusty crust, and someone in the kitchen is confusing pepper with flavorful spices. I ate four different pot pies over the course of 5 days. I was honestly surprised how lacking in flavor they were, but the pepper was a little overwhelming. Cut the pepper in half, double the actual flavor, and replace half the massive crust with actual pot pie filling, and you’d have a winner.3/5: Oatmeal cream pie - I regretted the calories. Again, plain tasting cookies, and the cream in the middle tasted weak and way too fluffy, not creamy. It should have been thicker. I know they’re not a cookie-specific place, but these oatmeal cookies just weren’t tasty at all.2/5: The prices for all of the above is just ridiculous. $13+ for a small single serving pot pie (that doesn’t taste that great!) - seriously?Overall it’s my opinion that this place is completely overrated and benefitting from trendy hype, some decent online presence (how I found out about the place), and their broadripple proximity. I won’t be going back.
