I LOVE this place!! I cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant!! I LOVE the food, the half chicken tikka is to die for!! So delicious, so flavorful, and so good! It’s always the perfect place for lunch or dinner. I could eat here every day!! The family is also so kind and welcoming! They are polite, kind, generous, and sweet. I really appreciate their hospitality!! The tea is also to die for!! With the rose water in the tea, it’s divine!!! If I could recommend anywhere it would be here! Sahara, thank you!

This is one of the best Turkish restaurants I have ever been to and I’m sad it is not near my home in Missouri! Everything, EVERYTHING was fresh and cooked perfectly. They brought us hot tea to begin, before we had ordered using a beautiful tea set. The owner then sprinkled each glass of tea with rose water. I had a Chicken Kabob and rice and other dishes at the table were: Gyros, Spanakopita, Hummus, Vegetarian Platter and Salad. My friend said the Gyro and tzatziki was the best he’s ever had. I ordered another serving of Hummus for the long trip home in the car.The service was great, the family who owns the restaurant was very attentive and kind.To finish, we had Baklava and on par with everything else, it was fabulous.

On my search for great baklava and came across this place. Went inside and was helped promptly. I got both desserts that were on the menu and both were very sub par. On to the next.....

Wonderful food. It's the hole in the wall no one knows about. The portions are huge and the food seems very authentic. I recommend highly.

I was so pumped when I read all the reviews. Recently moved to the area and was thinking this could be my goto place for gyros. I ordered a gyro online and went and picked it up. It was average I would say. They put so much tzatziki sauce on it (must be 1/2 cup) that it drowns out everything else. Not to mention leaves you with a sloppy mess for the last half of the sandwich. Disappointed. Can't say I recommend.

One of the top restaurants in Indianapolis for Middle Eastern food! The food and service were incredible.
Very warm and welcoming service. One of the best places for Middle Eastern food in Indianapolis. The mansaf, lamb kebab, and gyros sandwich were all excellent - shukran!
My friend and I are quite please to have tried Sahara for a mid-week lunch. It's a very comfortable space with friendly & welcoming folks. We had a sampler plate & a gyros sandwich and were treated to tea service! The tea with a dash of rose water is lovely and all the food disappeared quickly! We also had baklava and basbousa (semolina cake). Everything was yummy and the cake is the best I've ever had! The service was just the right mix of attentive and laissez-faire. We also enjoyed some conversation about food & language as we prepared to leave. All was wonderful and I plan to return soon with my husband!
