This place is a must-visit while you’re in Indianapolis. The menu is very odd for a traditional steakhouse, but the food was all very good. The steaks are charred a little too much for my taste, but also very good. I felt the prices were a little high for the steak quality so only 4 stars. Excellent service and atmosphere. I would say I am “one-and-done” here, as there are more reasonably priced meals around town that are just as memorable. But it’s also a must-visit.

I have been visiting for years and it seemed that the food has started to fall off. Our steaks were cold and the waiters were so busy with the large crowd we felt rushed and just a side table. They definitely attended to the larger tables with more attention. The dinner for two at almost three hundred dollars was good but not what it was. I doubt we will be back as it has just changed. Thanks for the memories.

"St. Elma Steak House offers a delightful dining experience. Their steaks are sumptuously tender and the shrimp cocktail is a must-try. Highly recommended!"

The best steakhouse I’ve ever been to. The shrimp cocktail is SPICY in a way you won’t expect! The first bite is insane, but it fades quickly and gets better and better. The wagyu sliders with crab Mac and cheese was absolutely phenomenal. Make sure to add crab to the Mac & cheese!!! Espresso martinis were fabulous as well as the service.

I have always wanted to go to St. Elmo's Steakhouse. I didn't disappoint. From the margaritas to the shrimp cocktail the best starters, before dinner. Now dinner, the service was amazing Max, was our waiter and left no stone unturned. Food came out timely, hot, and cooked to perfection. We will be back soon can't wait.

Had dinner here before the Morgan Wallen concert. We have been meaning to come here for years so it worked out. The service was great and the food was awesome as well. We sat beside an old bookshelf and pulled books out all dinner!! The shrimp cocktail was great and we love the cocktail sauce. I had an aged New York strip and it was cooked perfectly and was fantastic. It was a great experience and we will be back when we have the opportunity.

I ordered my lamb med rare. It came out medium to med well. The lobster tails were dry and over cooked.

We went here for a date night and were absolutely blown away by the amazing food, the lovely old historical place, and our server was amazing! He was one of those people you could tell he was a career waiter and it really just takes everything to a whole other level. we got the shrimp cocktail, (it’s spicy but so good) the king crab Mac and cheese, the seafood pasta, and the steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out at exactly the right time. Definitely splurge though and get the lobster bisque. It’s worth the up charge.

The food is good but probably not quite worth what it costs. Service was good. Atmosphere is old school steakhouse and interesting if you have time to examine all the pictures.

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars!! My husband made a reservation for us and service was top notch! As soon as we walked in to when we sat down. Our server that has been there for 19 yrs made some drink recommendations and they were so good! Warning ⚠️ on the shrimp with sauce though.. St.Elmos is very well known for this and it is a must! But, it will get ya!! I can definitely say the shrimp is Delicious and fresh! Here I ordered a Salad and my husband ordered a steak and said it has been his favorite steak thus far! Will definitely be back!

My $98 aged ribeye was 6oz. Pure fat and had tough stringy tendons throughout. I showed and explained this to our server who shrugged his shoulders and gave some lame excuse. However, the shrimp and horseradish appetizer was great. That's all Saint Elmo's had gone for it. Really sad our one dinner meal out was not memorable.
