I recently discovered a fantastic diner called The Groovy Cat Cafe. I had the bacon quiche, which was absolutely delicious! The food is made with real, natural ingredients. Kathy, the owner, is incredibly kind and friendly. The cafe is clean and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere. They serve both breakfast and lunch, and the menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. The prices are reasonable, and Kathy is also a talented baker. They have one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had, get it on the rosemary sea salt bagel and you wont regret it! such a great take on the classic BEC sandwich! Also just the kindest sweetest owners, I can't recommend enough!

I have had breakfast from The Groovy Cat Cafe 2 times in the last week and a half! The southwest breakfast burrito is sooooo good, I can’t wait to take my fiancé! The coffee I have had both times was also delicious. We love supporting local coffee shops, especially one so close to home. A major perk for me is that I can order online and pick up on the way to work. They have been extremely kind and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

Food is made from scratch and the coffee is incredible. Up front seating is comfy and there is a smaller area at the back with couches and a coffee table. The orange zest cream cheese cake we had for dessert was amazing. Highly recommend if you're looking for a different atmosphere or want to try something new in the area.

A corner seating area has couches and a leather chair. Nicely decorated. A bright, sunny place on a gloomy day!! :)I tried my husband's chicken caprese sandwich - it was yummy, Get it on rye bread! I got a harvest salad and wow it was nice sized! I fell in love with their maple apple cider vinaigrette!! I thought about asking if I could buy some for home it was so good. Hot chocolate perfect for cold rainy day and I got an Americano for the ride home - it was perfect, no bitterness. Oh we got a slice of cake - olive oil blood orange? Very moist, so sooo good!! I highly recommend this cafe and hope to return soon!!! Happy to have found the Groovy Cat Cafe today!!

Hands down my favorite coffee shop on the north side of Indy. Located in an unassuming strip mall, Groovy Cat is a nostalgic throwback to the 70s with it's vibe - but the menu captures everything you could ask for in a current day cafe. This family owned spot makes their own syrup (medium iced oat milk lavender latte on repeat, thank you very much). They have an incredible food menu (my go-to is a Sidedoor Rosemary sea salt bagel toasted with cream cheese)...the sandwiches and toast are to die for. And the rotating homemade bakery items? Words won't do them justice - just hit that "follow" on their Facebook to see what they're baking up and thank me later. And the number one reason to check them out? The owners and staff are beyond friendly and kind.Pro-tip: There are three schools located within a block of the cafe, so keep that in mind when you stop in from a traffic perspective. Sometimes it takes a minute to get into the large parking lot, but it's worth it, I promise.
