I had wanted to try this place for some time and when a friend decided to have his birthday there, I really looked forward to coming. But I have to say, the whole experience was underwhelming. We can start with the service. We had a large group that they definitely should have been able to handle. And, they add an automatic 20% tip in order to have a group that large. Which should come with some minimum expectations as to the service you will receive. This also is important considering that you are required to order. In addition to the ticket price, there's a $15 minimum order required in food. I will start in general by saying that as food began to come out of the kitchen, some people in our party who had arrived and just sat down or served immediately while others who had been sitting there for a half hour or more waited until the very end. It seemed like they had no idea who had ordered what. Apparently the person who took the orders did not communicate whatsoever to the people bringing out the food. It was impossible to get a refill on my drink, and I arrived early and given the condition of the food I ordered, I really needed something to drink. I do not drink alcohol and therefore all I had was a small glass of soda with a lot of ice added. It was nearly the end of the show before I finally got her attention long enough to get a single refill.I ordered the blackened salmon with grilled vegetables. This entree was $27 and I have honestly had better prepared food come out of drive-thrus. I hate to put it that way, but it was a little over the top. The vegetables were not grilled, they were barely even cooked. No signs whatsoever of any attempts to grill them. Whatever little amount of sauce or seasoning or whatever it was supposed to be that was on them barely added any flavor and it was an odd mix of vegetables... Carrots, green beans, and cauliflower. They didn't even bother to take the stems off of one of the green beans which is kind of gross. As to the salmon, all the seasoning was in one small spot in the middle of the filet. It was weird. And I don't know what they did to the salmon itself, but I have never had a piece of fish be so oily and salty. It definitely wasn't worth close to the amount I paid for it. I probably should have just gotten a salad and then I wouldn't have had to worry about how they were going to cook the vegetables. At one point I went to the restroom where the stall had two toilet paper rolled dispensers. For whatever reason, they couldn't be bothered to put toilet paper on them... they were just sitting on top. I won't go into why that's gross, but the many of the ladies who read this will understand exactly why. Additionally, there were three more wrapped rolls of toilet paper sitting on the tank behind the seat. This is something you only need to do if you don't intend to come back and clean periodically which is ridiculous because this place isn't open the number of hours that would make it difficult to monitor the bathroom cleanliness. We saw Emmaline perform. She is the only reason this place is not getting a one star review. Her music was good, she has a beautiful voice, although, I couldn't write her performance a five-star performance either because she spent way too much time talking between songs. I enjoy an occasional anecdote about how a song was written, but I don't need to know how every song was written and have those stories take up time that music should be enjoyed. Particularly since we were in the back part of the restaurant and ended up having to watch her partially from a monitor anyway. When she spoke, it was hard to hear what she was saying and everyone quickly lost interest and started surfing their phones. As I said in the beginning, overall very underwhelming. I don't know that I will be back unless it is to go with someone else who really wants to go. It's not something I would choose ever again

I've been going to The Jazz Kitchen for 30 years, have loved it from beginning to now I love Cathy Morris she's amazing. Typically the food is usually outstanding tonight. I'm not sure what was going on, but it was just mediocre. The bar was obnoxiously loud. The food was just OK and the music was not the norm, I would definitely seat people differently, the burgers are usually fantastic tonight was just not that great. I hope to see better in the future.

First of all, if your music lover, this is an amazing venue. They're literally isn't a bad seat in the house. Generally when I get into a music venue, expect the food to be just OK but here it's absolutely delicious. We went to see Rock E. Bassoon and it was amazing. We didn't realize that they were in effect and opening act but the guy they opened with was really great. Definitely worth checking this place out.

I've enjoyed the Jazz Kitchen twice now, each time more impressed than the last. What I appreciate most is how respectful guests are of the artists; there's a no talking rule, and they mean it. The food is always excellent, the service is top-notch, the music is fantastic - what more could you want? No, really, what else is there?
