Everything was amazing, the servers were very nice, though there were two who just stood against the wall watching people which was very strange. The tables were clean. The main issue was the food. Most of it tastes off or old, and my friend and I actually got food poisoning from the sashimi, which had the texture of rubber. The jello smelled like the sashimi, very off, and my friend and I were sick for a few days after eating here. We will definitely not be coming back, which is a shame considering this place had the best reviews and ratings, and I had high hopes.

We were celebrating for Mothers days today, and it was our very first time going to this place. The food was ok but one of the servers was very rude, and she still demanded the tip from us. We went ahead and paid and left the rest of the change for her and she still kept saying that she wanted $10 or $15 more. I feel like that is very rude for them to be demanding, that’s something that you have to earn and if you giving a bad service just to know you won’t get a good tip. Definitely not recommended for others, we will definitely not come back ever.Kid-friendliness: They say that they are kid friendly, but they seem to get mad when kids get up to get food or sweets

I went to Lunch with my friend today and experienced the worst customer service. The waitress was not even assigned to our table. The waiter brought the check to our table early and explained that the time was go to change to dinner and for us to go ahead and pay since we came at the end of lunch. The rude waitress who was not assigned to even our section came and said since we all ready paid we had to leave our food at the table and leave. We asked to speak to the manager and while we spoking to the manager the waitress continued to be rude and disrespectful. I’m not going to allow anyone to disrespect me. I’m a paying customer. I was just about to leave until she started being disrespectful. When a paid customer comes into your restaurant, they should be treated with respect regardless of race, gender, religion, or culture. The manager who I thought came to resolve the situation allowed this waitress to continue to be rude and disrespectful. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I would suggest for customer’s to take their hard earned money to a restaurant that will treat them with respect. I’m very disgusted by this waitresses attitude. Journey you need customers to keep your restaurant open. Train your staff to be respectful. You are not the only restaurant in Indianapolis. Appreciate your customer in this economy.

Very poor disappointing customer service. I was visiting from Houston and if you have ever been to Houston you know food and restaurants are a dime a dozen and food is what we do. However of the many choices of places l remember in Indianapolis l remembered visiting Journey before and thought to come. The service was poor the lady was on her phone speaking so loud on speaker, irritated as l the paying customer was asking questions. Well no need to worry about me, l won't be coming back, and it's not a loss for me. Off l go back to Houston where we have plenty of restaurants and customer service is top notch. Good luck Journey at this rate, l wonder who is coming to eat here.

Not worth the money or 40 minute drive.

The sushi was not maintained at a sufficently cool temperature. I did not finish a single dish I tried. Slimy, cold, tasteless, or inedible, at least one of these descriptions applied to everything I tried. Do not eat here.
