I have been wanting to check out the Nook for a while. I have dined at Northside Social several times and had heard good things. It did not disappoint. Between the quaint setting, nice outdoor seating options, location and food section you can't go wrong choosing this for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I had a build your own salad and my daughter had a BLT with fries. The food was fresh and delicious. I did splurge on a froze, which is a frozen cocktail which was delicious. I will definitely be back in the near future! Yum.

So sad we literally caught them on their last night before closing. Seriously hope the owners keep the Meat Pizza with goat cheese and fennel on the menu over at the Cafe! Sooo good!

This was the first dine-in experience I have had since COVID and quarantine began. It was also my first time trying this and brought my dad along as a Father's Day treat. We were definitely not disappointed with our choice! We arrived around 5pm and had the restaurant to ourself. It's close quarters inside, so arrive early if you're dying for a seat. Our waitress was very pleasant and kept waters refilled. Food was prompt and delicious! We treated ourselves to a 3 course meal, compete with wine, salad, 2 pizzas, and desert. Pizzas were well-topped and deliciously flavored. I was a big fan of the crust which seemed to have a garlic flavor. Desert was a summery vanilla custard with strawberry jam and granola. It was light and a perfect way to end a very tasty meal. We ended up needing a box for our pizzas (a generous 12") and am looking forward to a midnight snack or some breakfast za!

I got carryout dinner from The Nook and was not disappointed. They were very busy but still quick with my order. The original Nook pizza is phenomenal and the perfect amount of toppings per slice. It's meaty but the wine mushrooms bring an earthy flavor that balances out the salty bacon. I tried the garlic knots for the first time and wish they would have been a little more buttery/garlicky, but they were still good as is. I loved the pesto and the white dipping sauces that accompanied. I went for the chopped salad for my vegetable of the night, and felt it had good mix of colors and textures. The red wine vinaigrette was a perfect salad dressing for the salad because it was light and flavorful. 1 salad made about 3 decent sized salad servings, or 4 small ones. I do feel the salad was a little costly, on Uber Eats they charged 12.30. Lastly, I got the buffalo cauliflower. I might have been too excited to try these and had high expectations. My first thought when I opened it up was, "That's it?" The presentation was a little sloppy and the serving size was so small! There was probably a cup of cauliflower, but I was expecting more for 12 dollars. The dish was not warm, the cauliflower were limp, and they just did not have much flavor. Maybe they just aren't a good to-go item? Maybe the steam from the to go box made the cauliflower mushy? Not quite sure. I love buffalo, and was really hoping these could be a healthy veggie option, but I don't think I'll be getting these again. I did enjoy the blue cheese sauces that came along with them. I kept them for my spinach salad the next day. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out for pizza. The ingredients and dough taste super fresh and the service was great even under these stressful circumstances.

My girlfriend and I absolutely love to come to this place. I'm forcing myself to write this review because with coronavirus I understand the times are difficult for restaurants. Please call them and order some takeout. My gf and I will thank you for supporting this restaurant. Get the piggy smalls - absolutely delicious. Good combination of flavors with goat cheese and a perfectly cooked dough that has a hint of garlic and oil. Their starters are delicious and tend to be somewhat unique. Their burrata and cheese stuffed dates were amazing while they lasted. Now we typically order the garlic knots, which isn't unique but still above par. They come with cheese, pesto, and marinara on the side. Wash it all off with some wine and you are set for the night. The restaurant is off the beaten path and never busy. Quiet. Good for a date or small groups.

One of my favorite places in Broad Ripple! I'm not local so it's an hour drive for me but I gladly make it for their pizza and garlic knots! This is a very small place with little seating so I recommend getting there right when they open to ensure a place to sit. Every time I've been the staff is friendly and helpful. For an appetizer I recommend the garlic knots. They come 5 in an order and are accompanied by 3 sauces-Alfredo, pesto and marinara. Delicious! I love pizza and their's do not disappoint. On my last visit I got The Nook which had fennel sausage and bacon in addition to red wine braised mushrooms and pickled red onion. Very good. I've sampled most of the other pizzas in the past and have enjoyed them all. They also have a chalkboard which lists their daily specials and generally there is a specialty pizza listed that is not on the menu. Nook by Northside also offers desserts and pasta dishes but I go for the pizza so can't review those items. One other perk for me is they have a parking lot! Big plus as parking can be difficult sometimes in Broad Ripple.

Although I was enticed by the photos and other great Yelp reviews, I think the honest rating here is 3 stars - solidly average. The Nook is a pretty small restaurant without much seating. Our server was very friendly and kept our water glasses filled all night. But the food is kind of a let-down. The garlic knots are huge, which helps justify the $9 price tag. They weren't terribly garlicky, though. And the three dipping sauces were kinda weird. The arribiata sauce was chunky, so it didn't stick to the knots well. The pesto sauce had kind of a seaweed texture to it, and it didn't taste like olive oil or basil, so I'm not sure how that qualifies as pesto. For my pizza, I ordered the Piggy Smalls (essentially a meat lover's pizza). When your pizza arrives, HALF of the surface area is crust. I suppose that's forgivable if the crust is delicious, but Nook's crust is mostly flavorless. The pizza itself didn't have a ton of flavor, either. The predominant flavor of my pizza was just grease. I wanted to like The Nook more than I did. It seems like it would be an easy fix to cut down on the massive overreach of the crust to provide more area for sauce, cheese, and toppings. I think they also need to revamp that sauce recipe. The Nook might be a good place to go for drinks or a date, but the food leaves something to be desired.
