They told me what washers and dryers were the best. And it wasn't packed.

I was excited to see a small store in a food court in the convention center in downtown Columbus. I don't particularly care for waffle cones and I asked if they had other styles. He pointed to the "cake cone" and mentioned that the cone itself came with a .50 charge!! I took my small cup to go. Still delicious but I'll seek out a competitor for my next ice cream cone.

Our son enjoyed the place. He liked the video about ice cream making and loved the ice creams and play area. It's an amazing establishment, kudos to all the people who make this place happen.

Grounds are kept up beautifully and the ice cream is so good! We visit several times a year and have fun every single time!

Wonderful visit to the Velvet Ice cream shop. We learned the history of ice cream making, and walked through the museum.

Always a good time at Velvet. The Fetching Mrs. Rat and I head up a couple times a year to hit the local orchards and farmers markets. When we do we stop at Velvet. After a picnic by the pond, we get down with a couple scoops of coffee with raspberry sauce. It is some really, really good stuff. This time was no exception! As I love history, I appreciate that this place is preserved as part of Ohio's past. There is a nice display of implements from farms and past ice cream making endevours. Of course the mill wheel is a big attraction. There are plenty of picnic tables and and at least two huge shelters. They also give free tours throughout the day. I only give a four because of the parking lot. We have been stuck a few times behind delivery trucks blocking the driveway.

Quaint family tradition. We ate lunch at the restaurant. The live music was nice on the patio. The seat yourself tables and the high chair we used were kind of grimy. Food is mediocre but the ice cream was delish. This is a nice weekend activity with the fam.

My family and I came for the tour. I had been when I was a child and enjoyed returning. As an adult I was more interested in the historical facts of the building and area than the actual manner of producing ice cream. The tour is not too long, and it is quite enjoyable! The ice cream is delicious.
