This place is okay if you're craving Thai food but far from the best. Take out portions are on the small side. If you dine in you get styrofoam plates and plastic silverware. Pad Thai is good though.

Absolutely the best Thai in the Kentucky/Indiana area! Mai puts her heart into her recipes!

I took my wife here after thinking this place had good reviews. Had the food been 10 times better it still would have been terrible. Service was not even as good as McDonald's. Stir fry was nearly tasteless. The curry dish was over cooked, over seasoned, and overpriced. Prison food isn't even served on disposable plates and cups and flatware. I've eaten Asian food from Florida to Massachusetts and this is the worst. Avoid this place like COVID and go anywhere else. As if this so called restaurant couldn't get worse THEY CHARGE A 3.99 PERCENT fee, YES PERCENT IF YOU DON'T USE CASH.

Definitely some of the best Thai food in the Louisville area. Consider getting the Pad Mai Thai that has the curry in it, absolutely amazing flavor. Dining room isn't anything fancy, but the food more than makes up for it.

I've heard a lot about Mai's Thai and love Thai food, so I thought my husband and I would give it a shot. The poor person behind the counter looked so beaten down and sad. The restaurant was not empty, but we had to order at the counter and then go sit. They brought the food out on Styrofoam plates with plastic cutlery. It wasn't BAD food, but was not noteworthy. That poor counter attendant though.

Everything I've had here has been so good. Favorites are Crab Rangoon, spring rolls, green curry, pad kee mow, and pad Thai.If you love spicy food like I do, this is the place to get. The "Thai Hot" is seriously hot and does not lose any flavor to the heat.

Some of the best Thai food in this area. The closest I've had that compares was in Dallas, Texas.

I've been going to Mai's for over 10 years now. The food quality has never changed and is literally the best Thai food I've ever tasted in the Kentuckiana area. Hands down. Covid did change the environment and dining room experience. She has continued to run the operation very lean. Mai didn't open the dining room until a year if not more after covid and has kept things minimal to be able to keep her restaurant doors open. We're all aware of the hits restaurants are taking with increases in food cost and supplies. While dining in Mai uses plastic and paper to decrease cost too. She has had to shift the concept from a nicer sit and dine place, to a come in for a simpler market experience, or order take out. I'll take it so I can get the best Thai food around. I beg of you to not judge this place for anything other than the food and kindness from Mai and that you're supporting a family business that a lot of people want to continue to support.

My wife and I have loved the food here for years. It is authentic and flavorful but we were disappointed that the effects of the pandemic and inflation made our experience disappointing. We ordered our favorites then had them served on paper plates with a plastic fork. Not even a plastic knife to cut our chicken satay. If/when we return we will bring our own plates and flatware.

Finally made it over the bridge and will be returning soon! Have been hearing from restaurant industry friends for years that this is the best Thai in the Louisville area and now I agree! Can't wait to come back.
