“YUMMY! Totally enjoyed this meal! Three out of the four of us were very happy with our food. One of the 4 is a teen, so don't worry about his opinion. The choices are plenty & easy to figure out what to order. It is in the stay of place your order at a counter, pay & get a #, then your food is brought to you. You get your own drinks & refills. You do not have to bus your table here.We started with the Taziki Dip with soft pitas. Delicious, just not enough pitas. My daughter & I enjoyed our Grilled Veggie Pitas. We ordered fruit salad, & it comes with potato chips. We used the chips for the rest of our Taziki Dip. My SIL ordered the Build Your Own Feast; Grilled chicken, Mediterranean Salad & Roasted Red Potatoes. It looked good & he said it was. Grandson, the teen, ordered a chicken sandwich. It was not fried & had lettuce & tomato on it along with a sauce. The chicken was in sliced pieces. His came with chips & a fruit salad. The food was tasty enough, I will definitely go back again. It's a little like a small taste of Ramsi's Cafe of the World (Mediterranean) in Jeffersonville, IN.Give it a try!“
“I had a great dining experience here recently and I can honestly say this food satiated my soul. The baba ganoush was very well balanced and the tabbouleh was so bright and tasty. These were the highlights for me but everything else was also delicious.“
“My favorite falafel and favorite go to Mediterranean spot! Please open a location in Bardstown, Ky. Not to be confused with Bardstown rd, but the small town 45 miles south of Louisville that has absolutely NO options for Mediterranean or any diversity in dining. Thank you all for always serving fresh and consistent food!“
“I wanted to dock a star for not having cranberry juice for my cocktail, but I couldn’t. The food was unbelievable and the service was top notch. Maddie (please excuse my spelling) was fantastic. She was super attentive and one of the most pleasant servers we’ve had in a long time. The food was dynamite, like the “stop in your shoes when you take a bite” type food. It was unreal. We travel a lot from Pittsburgh, PA and are always looking for that local gem. This is it. You will not regret it. For reference, we got fried artichoke hearts for a starter and the lamb chops and braised short ribs for our meal. Just, WOW! It was unbelievably fantastic.Parking: We have a big truck and could not park in the two spaces that were available. We had a block and a half walk, which was worth it.“
“I've been eating at this restaurant for at least a decade, and it's always consistently great. I constantly point people toward and vouch for this restaurant. The falafel is always perfect. The babaganoush is always beautiful. The beef shawarma ? - I've never had anything on the menu that I didn't love. Brought my girlfriend (her first time) for her birthday, and she loved it as well.Mirage for life!“
“-(Called Maira but comes up as mirage on maps)- First time trying Maira from a recommendation of a friend!! I haven't tried too many mediterranean spots before but thIS is the place. Building is a little small but it's definitely worth sitting down and getting it hot and fresh. I love hummus and so does my bf so we got hummus w/pitta and it was SO good. Especially if you love garlic like us 10/10. We each had our own shawarma sandwich. I got chicken with garlic sauce and he got the beef with tahini. Both of us loved the sandwiches. Me more so!! The chicken was super juicy and came with lettuce, tomato, sauce, and some tiny pickles which i didn't expect but was super yummy!! For sure coming back!!“
“Aladdin’s was recommended by many of the locals as we walked around the shops in town. It did not disappoint! Let me start by saying that the hummus and naan bread was amazing. Such good, warm, fresh bread! I could almost just eat that as a meal.I enjoyed the gyro meal with a salad and my wife had the chicken shawarma with rice. We didn’t have room left for desert but it looked delicious. If you are looking for great Mediterranean food, this is your place.Sorry that I didn’t get more photos of the food. I was too busy eating it. :)Parking: There is plenty of public parking down behind the shops here. The restaurant is located in a place called the “underground station”. It is behind eureka men’s clothing store.“
“We had a fantastic dining experience! Hands down one of the best we have ever had. Food, cocktails, service and ambiance were amazing! The menu has so many unique dishes to choose from! We’ll be back very soon!! Special shoutout to the staff…they are best in class!“
“Addis is our weekly lunch spot on Tuesdays because it's walking distance from work and is consistently DELICIOUS every single time! The chicken curry is my go-to, but the chicken kebabs, beef kebab, etc- literally everything is gold! Don't sleep on Addis (good luck finding parking though) ?“
“Falafel Oasis, first time visiting this restaurant upon entering we were greeted by the Hostess/cashier. She was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered lamb gyros and an order of falafel, with white bean soup. The wait was about 15 minutes. The falafel was bland. Not what I was expecting. The Gyros were good but not enough meat compared to what you can get at a competing restaurant, however I believe the portion size was accurate(our portion sizes in the US could be the reason why many are overweight). The White Bean soup was amazing and tasted great.“
“Food was fresh and cooked in front. Got my food in 10 mins. Shawarma rice was cooked perfectly but the meat tasted a little flat. I asked for hot sauce but it was a sour sauce which made the entire dish sour. The amount was good. Service was satisfactory. I will give it another try without hot sauce next time. They have outdoor seating options.Parking: You can park next to the food truck.“
“The vibe is a New Orleans Cajun style restaurant with a flare. I’ve visited Louisiana several times, and this place felt exactly the same. Great food with awesome service. But the kicker is the decor and design of the historic building. I highly recommend checking this place out for yourself. Guaranteed not to disappoint.“
“Hands down my favorite place to eat in Louisville. I LOVE their dolmas. Great food, great service. Clean establishment, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The only negative is that there isn't one closer to my home. Going downtown is a drain!“
“The rating I’m leaving is strictly based on previous experiences. They have gone insane w the cost of their food. What’s the point increasing the cost of food and simultaneously decreasing the size ? I used to spend 100-200 a week here—sadly kebab house has my business now! Dude 8 bucks for rice isn’t gonna happen when a 50’lb bag is 30 bucks! Cmon now!“
“So happy to see Maira opened back up on the East end. I was a long time customer at their University location. Same menu, and same fresh food as before. The food is as bright and beautiful as it looks. Portions are generous; I ate 1/4 of the vegetarian platter and half of my Greek salad mounded with chicken, and was stuffed. Highly recommend everything, I've tried it all.“
“A family owned restaurant in Cresent Hill. We live put of town and stay in neighborhood. The Beef stew is delicious. My husband and mother in law had Lamb Kabobs. They enjoyed it very muchOwner is very nice person. The prices are very good. Can't wait to go there next time in Louisville.“
“A colorful restaurant environment, in a great location. The food rates better than Taziki's or The Grape Leaf, but not quite the level of Kebab House. Our food was great, but it came out slow. It didn't come with silverware or napkins, so I had to grab plastic ones myself. There is no table service- we got our own refills and bussed our own plates, so I wouldn't recommend tipping here. (They prompt for tip at time of order, before any service has been rendered.)The front door has a tendency to stick open, which is pretty uncomfortable during cold months. I had to get up several times and pull it closed. The staff didn't seem to notice. The patio area on the sidewalk is quite nice, but I wouldn't recommend sitting out there during rush hour because of noise and fumes.Kid-friendliness: It's a casual environment where a kid would not be disruptive. They even have some kids books available to read while you wait for the food.Wheelchair accessibility: Front door has stairs w/ handrail.“
“Just came here for the first time because I wanted to try fufu. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating! She talked to me about what fufu is and the different types that are made. I ordered the fufu and pepper soup and palava with spinach. The food was delicious and she brought a water bowl to clean my hands with, as I was eating the fufu with my hands. The tv was a little loud but she was very kind and turned it down when we asked. Very much enjoyed the experience!“
“Delicious Fresh Food. Kind Service. Cassava was very good not spicy though, with peppers and onion. Chicken crispy. Plenty of seating! Good Music but not too loud I was able to get some editing done. Will return and I suggest you give them a try! Thank youuu“
“Delicious!! Enjoyed the lentil soup, hummus with falafel (best I’ve ever had - not at all dry, it was perfect), and cauliflower shawarma with black beans and rice! But the food didn’t hold a candle to the service Anna provided. Hostess and waitress - what can’t she do! We were impressed with how well versed she was in the menu.Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“My husband and I went on a Saturday night around 7. They use Resy for reservations. I love a place that takes reservations! It's a trendy intimate ambiance that seems more date like to me than something for a big group hangout. We liked the duck and beet salad for food. Pretty disappointed in the mussels but it didn't bring down the evening too much. My husband liked his old fashioned and I appreciated the alcohol free drink options! Marie from Tennessee was our server and was very friendly! Seemed like she could have used another server to help on the floor as the night went on. We'd return!“
“I'm glad you enjoyed the delicious food and appreciated the great service at the falafel dining place. However, it's concerning to hear about disruptive incidents with individuals who seemed to be struggling. It might be helpful for the management to address such situations to maintain a comfortable dining environment for all patrons.“
“Man. This was our first time going and we will for sure be going back. We got so much food for what we paid and it was soooo good. The service was also really great. The workers were really kind and friendly to us. It was a very casual place but so good. Cannot recommend this place enough.“
“Ordered take-out for the first time here today and it was great. Food was ready when I arrived and still plenty hot. Lamb burger with feta tasted great and the chicken harrisa gyro was also tasty. I wish it was spicier but the flavor was there so definitely no faults. The rice was delicious and perfectly cooked. Loved the mild lemon flavor of it. Can’t wait to come back!“
“Love this place! I have been here more times than I can count. The food here is always so fresh and tasty, and the staff are also super quick at making orders. This is the best Mediterranean food I have found so far in Louisville. My favorite entree to get here is the Chicken Pita with a side of Greek salad. All of the vegetables in the Chicken Pita and the salad are so fresh, crunchy, and delicious. I also love the dressing that they include with the Greek salad, it is perfect. The Gyros and Baklava here are also great.Highly recommend this place!“
“I don’t usually write reviews but Shiraz provided me the best service today. I had placed a large order for delivery through Uber Eats 2 days ago for my moms birthday and 1 hour before the delivery time the order was cancelled with no real explanation. I contacted Shiraz and Ray answered the phone and he was very surprised about the cancellation because he wasn’t even aware there was an order. He promptly and courteously took my order and even gave me the option to have the food delivered to us. He delivered the order in time. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were all very pleased with the food and how Ray turned a bad situation into a great experience for us.“
“The new facility is beautiful and there a lots of cars available. There are a few parked out front of the building with lot of them behind the fenced area. A great selection of vehicles even though I was just there to browse. I enjoyed myself.“
