They have pretty good food, except for their service. Twice now they have given me spring rolls instead of the EGG ROLLS, I ordered. I have requested vegetable egg rolls many times and they were wrapped with the proper wraps, NOT the spring roll wrap. I purchase at least a total of $250 dollars each month and for $21.50 (10 EGG ROLLS), they choose to lose my constant business. The woman that answered the phone was Not a very nice. She was rude and basically said too bad that is the way they do their vegetable egg rolls. They have twice refused to admit their error so I will take my money elsewhere.
Orange chicken tastes nothing like orange chicken. Nasty. Just spicy. Spring rolls. The size of my pinky. Pathetic. Rice with veggies and noodles with veggies. Usually little bits. Nope, big ole hunkin big chunks. Don’t usually like my rice or noodles like this. Not recommended.

Try the Lo Mein and Chow Mei Fun noodles! Great vegetarian options. Food is both excellent and consistent. Family run. Wish they had more staff so they could do dine in.

The food here is so good. Saucy, hot, large portions! Egg rolls are not those itty bitty things that look like spring rolls. They're big and full of flavor. Honey chicken is my favorite. And Singapore chow mei fun! Great lunch plates for cheap too.

Great, easy spot for take out, all the traditional menu items, and some of the best crab rangoons ?Vegetarian options: Every noodle and rice dish has a vegi option, so does the egg fu young and soups, and you can get just veggies in a variety of sauces. Tey are very accommodating.Parking: Their location is a large "strip mall" setting, so the parking lot is large with many options.

We love Gourmet House! It is the ONLY Chinese restaurant in LaPorte we get food. My favorites are the sesame chicken and lo mein. The staff are always kind and very helpful. The building is older and there are minimal decorations but it doesn't take anything away as they are strictly a carry out restaurant.

Moved here in February, tried many of the other Chinese restaurants in the area. This place by far is on the bottom of the list. I was surprised by all the reviews I've seen I thought it was going to be good. But in my experience the sauces and quality was not very good. I've bought better frozen from Walmart
