Always great food, drinks and service . Anything you order is great. Have been going here for over three years.

I rarely post reviews, and never for restaurants (shame on me), but we had a short notice group of 15 in for lunch in the Sunday-after-church slot, and I was blown away how well everything was handled. They managed to seat us all together, proactively asked about the checks, and had everyone a drink within 10 minutes of arrival. Ordering was smooth, and the food was delivered together with everything still being hot and fresh. Zero errors to boot!Food is always great, but today’s crowd included some self-admitted picky eaters, the “why can’t we just go to Applebees” type, and I heard nothing but good things afterward. Kudos to the Teay’s River staff for such excellent handling of a group on short notice.

First time at Teays. Hailey was our server and she was wonderful! Very knowledgeable of the menu and provided great recommendations. The food was delicious, it was fast, affordable for a date night, and the environment was very cool and relaxed.

I want to start by saying I absolutely love the service & atmosphere of Taey’s. However, the last 4-5 times I’ve gone they have been sold out of the citrus chicken. (These visits took place on both busy weekend evenings and slower weeknights) This is by far, my favorite meal on the menu and I’ve been disappointed I haven’t been able to order it consistently.

I can't speak for their alcohol but the food is delicious!! We moved from Lafayette and still occasionally make the 45 minute drive to enjoy the food.

Great beer, great food and the people that work there are awesome. My favorite in the Greater Lafayette area. The patio is a great place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon/evening. I like the way it is setup. It looks great out there, especially as the sun goes down. They have a good list of standard beers always available. In addition, they rotate through some seasonal and experimental stuff. Always something good for light beer drinkers, dark beer drinkers and the hoppy people.

We live on the South side and like to go to have dinner and drinks at Walt’s and Teahy’s River. But the last year or so we find ourselves only going to Walt’s as their food and service is so great and CONSISTENT. Teahy’s food and service has gotten worse over the last year or so. We keep trying to give them another chance (gap is getting farther and farther). We went in a couple nights ago and the Mac and cheese and pizza came out noticeably hours OLD and COLD. (It came out 2 minutes after we ordered. NO way it was fresh even if it would have come out hot). We asked for it to be reheated and/or preferably remade and the pizza and the Mac and cheese both came out in two minutes again and cold and old AGAIN ?. We decided to take it home and put it in the air fryer to have heated up old pizza for dinner. Walt’s it IS from here on out. Might give legacy a try to replace Teahy’s ?‍♂️ I sure wish Teahy’s would get it together like when they first opened. We enjoyed going there then. But dinner the other night was worse than going to a dive bar at 3am downtown for last call ……. The bad thing is the pizza was awesome heated up in the air fryer but freaking sucked in house ?‍♂️

The food was just not good. I ordered the white cheddar mac and cheese bowl with brisket, and sides of brussel sprouts and green beans. The beans were hard, rancid, unseasoned and generally unpleasant. The brussel sprouts were okay, and were the only positive thing I can say about the meal. The Mac bowl sauce was way too sweet and the Parmesan cheese on top tasted off, while the brisket was way too tough and chewy. This was not what I had anticipated given the reviews online. I don’t know what needs to be fixed, but Taey’s brewery: you can do better! This totally ruined my night. Despite all the horrible foods I regret to say I put in my mouth, the service was remarkable by Brecken.

An honestly awful overall experience. I’m not one to complain morally and have been here before and had no issues, but today was beyond unacceptable. From the service to the food it was all around plain bad. The only things that were alright were our drinks and the beer cheese fries. Our food took over 55 minutes to hit the table, and our server never offered us any time table nor explanation and left us sitting for almost the entirety of the wait, until a “it will be out soon” was given, and since the kitchen is open, we could see our food being put out to be ran to our table, our waitress made it half way to us, turned around, and handed the pizza back and left our other entree in the window, another ten minutes later it was at our table. The brisket sandwich I got was a struggle to even take a first bite out of and immediately made me feel almost nauseous. Brisket is one of my favorite things to eat ever and to say I was shocked at how horrible this sandwich was, is an understatement. I thought maybe it was just a fatty bit and tried again, and was forced to spit the bite into a napkin. The pork belly we got was no linger edible after the experience. The well done pizza with light sauce we asked for was undercooked, and when we told the waitress about the sandwich being nauseating, we were still charged for the uneaten pork belly. I will say the sandwich was comped, but to not receive any explanation from management was a let down. Our server placed the check on the table without saying anything had even been comped, and it was 46 dollars with a tip for an uneaten meal, an hour wait, and horrible experience. Disappointed just doesn’t hold enough weight to explain how sad the entire moment was.

I would rate this place a 3.5/5. The fact that they brew their own beer puts them just above average. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. We got the ultimate beer burger, the jambalaya, and the Mac and cheese. Firstly, the Mac and cheese wasn't even edible. They somehow managed to make macaroni and cheese flavorless. It was very strange. The jambalaya tasted like Zataran's. The rest of it was just "ok". I was expecting a lot more considering the fact that they are rated a 4.5/5.In the future, I will just stick to their beer. You can't go wrong with that.

My salad was really good. Unfortunately the other meals were a bit off. They push their garlic slaw, was not impressed it was tasteless. Husband had the haddockmiddle of filet was great ends of fish were over cooked. The brussel sprouts of our other dinner were good but the citrus chicken seemed like it was a Cornish hen. Have tried to like Teays, but have never had all dinners rave about their meals. Fries were good tho.

Not the best restaurant I’ve ever been too. The food was not worth the price but the service was good, and the place was clean and defined. If you need to eat with a friend, family, group just go to Walt’s Pub/Walt’s Other Pub right across the street.
