Came in a little late so wasn't busy at all . Sat outside because it was such a nice night . Server was very kind and didn't rush us even though we were prob her last table . She was quick and great at filling our drinks . Food was very good , I was nervous about getting a full rack of ribs but they honestly did not disappoint! Fell right off the bone , BBQ sauce was perfect . Huge portions ,you deff get your money's worth . The rest of the table got burgers and my kiddo got the chicken wings which were a lot bigger then expected . Everyone took left overs home . Huge place ,tables seem spaced out well ,love the massive fire place ,gives me ski lodge vibes back home in New England ! Deff will be back ! You guys have a great salad selection so I will deff be trying one of those next ! Great experience for us and we will deff be back ! Oh and might I add LOVED the fried mushrooms ! My compliments to the chef ?Kid-friendliness: Big kids meals ,Mac n cheese and chicken wings were very good my 8 yr old deff wants to go back !

Walt's was able to seat our group of eleven with no problem. Service was fast and friendly. Kids loved their mac and cheese. Older folks all finished their meals. Mine was the Beef dip which was a tad dry but the dip saved it. Salad was a basic salad but veggies were fresh.

I have been going to Walt's for at LEAST 15 years regularly. I had no desire to leave a review until my experience tonight with the knowledge of advanced leadership. My husband and I have been taken care of on most of our visits throughout the years by Ben, now part owner, and we never had any complaints and he is 80% of the reason for our return visits. But we always had our experience at bar seating. Because we are now way older, lol, and we went out earlier than usual on a Friday, the bar was full. Our experience in main dining was just as enjoyable. Our server Nathan was appropriately attentive and I didn't miss the experience I normally enjoyed at the bar at all. And let me clarify, my husband and I have made Lafayette our permanent home since 2004 and we have dined in many establishments in this time on all sides of Lafayette, from the most casual to fine dining and Walt's Other Pub has made us feel like family over every place we have given our business to. If you want a relaxed casual environment that caters to families when appropriate and offers extended dining to the mature audience, Walt's is it. Respectfully. Thank you Ben for being who you are!

When the two of us arrived to find it the busiest we have seen and the hostess stated there was a 2 hour wait. I replied we would not wait that long and she asked us to wait while she had to go to the manager to check on current wait times and 2 minutes later she was back and said follow me to your table. Service was good in spite of it being quite busy and food was excellent. The crowd noise was incredibility loud thru out our dining experience.

Sometimes the food make take a minute to get out when its busy but always good. Two or three times waltz gave us free desert for taking too long due to being busy. Don't piss with the west side, they suck. Go to south side.

The restaurant was beautiful, with lovely brick and a fireplace . It was cold inside and I asked the waitress about turning on the fireplace , she said it only gets turned on when it was below freezing. Everyone in our party kept their coats on . The food wasn't good. Onion rings that were frozen not handmade, my ribs were dry and not really edible, like they were rewarmed from yesterday, didn't care for my Cole slaw. Thumbs down on going back. The menu made everything sound so tasty but it wasn't. Look somewhere else for a good meal !

The food was great. Guy waiting on us took good care of us, really nice as well. We were on the patio weather was great. Only problem was birthday party going on. Cussing and loud, women more than men. Irritating thing, some were mad because we were close and some in party told them we were there. Ruined the moment.

We had about a 30-minute wait. Not too bad for a Friday evening. We were seated in the side room. It had a nice fireplace that we couldn't see. The room could use a coat of paint and a little fixing up. The drinks we ordered were good-sized and tasty. (Old fashioned's w/Basil Hayden). My husband and I shared a cup of seafood chowder. I wish I had made that my entire dinner. It was very good. Served hot like it should be. Most places we have ordered soup, we are lucky if it's warm. My husband got the catfish filets, which looked really good. He said they were. I ordered the chicken and ribs. The fries were cold. The chicken had a good smokey taste. The ribs were just bad. They tasted like they had been reheated several times. They had that old refrigerator taste. Portion sizes were huge. Both of us took more than half of our food home, says the fries. Overall, it was enjoyable. Service was good. It's just a tad slow. I may try them again.
