Speaking as a tourist, not an expert in Chicago-style hot dogs or anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The shop is small with only a few tables but the vibe and decor were very cute, eg. the maps, paintings, and portrait of Anthony Bourdain. We got a Chicago-style dog for a snack, and the presentation with all the toppings was beautiful. As a first-time tryer, I was surprised by how much I liked the hot dog. A lot going on - the snappy sausage, sour pickled cucumber, fresh tomatoes, and savory relish - but everything came together nicely and created a balanced bite. It was on the salty side so a sufficient amount of water was a must.

Thoroughly satisfying Chicago hot dog experience. Varied menu, delicious dogs and fries, great service. Even the atmosphere represents with style.

A good dog. I can't give it Weiner Circle levels of praise, but as dogs go, this one was tasty. However, the exotic sausages and other items are what will bring me back, there are some interesting looking tasty treats on the menu!!

It's a great place to get a chicago style dog and their exotic sausages are very more good . The customer service is very up to the mark .All the chefs back there are so good. One guy is named Andrew is good and he told lot about hotdogs and chicago. Ambiance is very well. All the pictures in the place is like dates back to 1939 ..

Food 10Service 10Ambiance yesGreat spot for all kinds of sausages and dogs and the fries are great too. What really makes this place stand out is the variety toppings and meats used in their sausages. And it's not just the novelty that makes this place good the taste is also a win. You're unlikely to find the variety at other places and so far everything I've had all tasted so amazing. Seating is limited so be prepared to order to go.

Have to go here if you want the famous style hot dogs. It has that and plenty more styles. Chicago's Dog House is a dinky place with a big ass menu of hot dogs and side items. Get a table inside if lucky. The prices are pretty good on most things especially on the lunch meals. Came here at lunch and it was good timing because it was cheaper. It has weekday lunch specials. This is the time to come, but it's still not that expensive any other times. Get a hot dog, drink, and fries for about $8, or get 2 hot dogs and fries for about $9 or so. This is only on weekdays. A funny theme is they name some of the hot dogs for celebrities. They have styles according to the person whether they're an actor or a politician. I got the Lightfoot Dog. This is a vegan sausage topped Chicago style. Also they have a Trump Dog. It's a very burnt sausage with ketchup and mayonnaise. That's so wrong! I think it's just on the menu as a joke. That would be hard to imagine someone eating a garbage hot dog like that. Good to take to go. It gets pretty cramped in here. There's lots of interesting toppings and there's options for vegans and vegetarians.

All indicators pointed to this being a classic Chicago hot dog experience. The ambience was correct the grill looked right even the guys cooking it looked right but that's where it kind of ended for me. And I can sum up the deficit simply by saying I don't think the guys were paying attention and here's why. The hot dog looked right had the right juxtaposition of ingredients but the finishing touch needs to be the proper amount of celery soft and someone was not paying attention and dropped a little too much on this. I actually tried dusting some off to render this edible. The hamburger was ordered as a plain Burger by my son but either he was not heard or they did not hear him correctly because he got a hamburger with everything. So please pay attention, listen, and take the time to do justice to this chicago classic fare.

Easy access from the subway system. Small place but lots of choices. Bad music playing but I was there for the food. And the food was good. Prices were ok. Drinks were cold

Still a great place in the neighborhood! Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed a corn dog, drips and the Midway dog. All were super fresh, tasty and unique. The stand-out is the service. Everyone is friendly and willing to help order the right menu items. Please stop-in for some great dogs & chips!

A solid dawg at a solid price. The peppers on the Chicago dog are pretty spicy so beware! Super good, really like the seeded bun. Only compaint is that I got a dawg to go and it took a solid 15 min, which was too bad.

I got to taste a couple of dogs at the taste of Chicago. This place can get very creative with their menu. I had a rattlesnake and rabbit sausage dog. It was somewhat dry because both are lean meat. I did like it though for its uniqueness and it did not taste gamey or strange. The vegan dog was not bad, it just needed to be warmed up some more. I would assume the restaurant has some very good dogs.

When in Chicago, gotta eat their hot dog! So here we go!We had just left the Lincoln Park Zoo and found ourselves to enjoy a walk to get there. The location is small. Probably 12? Or 3.5 parties? The gentleman was nice and cool. TV was on a classic movie, can't remember which one. Though entertaining for our meal.I don't know much about hot dogs but I was satisfied. Sodas and water are available. Sure, try them, why not!

We were looking for Chicago style hot dogs and came across this gem on Yelp! Parking is very limited since we parked along the street and it is metered parking. We tried a few different items here like the Chicago dog (which comes with mustard, tomato, onion, relish, pickles, sport peppers and celery salt), Blagojevich dog (everything in a Chicago dog with ketchup hahaha) and some frips (which are a cross between chips and fries that are spiraled from a whole potato to a golden crispy crisps). Everything tasted really good and the frips were a hit. We had toppings on our frips too but I think plain frips are more enjoyable. There's not much seating since our family of 5 took up a table and maybe there was one more table but this is a great spot to pick up and take it out. We met the employees here who got to know us traveling through the city and they were very nice and welcoming here :) Thanks!

I was really excited to try this place out. Especially after seeing bacon wrapped hot dogs calls Tijuana Street Dog. I thought I would get something similar to a "danger dog" that I wouldn't get in LA, back when I lived in California. Sadly, it wasn't even close. The dog itself was good it was charred and would be perfect with a Chicago style hot dog. Instead it's topped with a stop of bacon, and four jalapeño peppers. It was supposed to have melted chihuahua cheese and hot sauce but didn't really taste much of each. It was mediocre at best and was a huge let down. Maybe it's not fair comparing it to a danger dog, but that's just the first thing I can think of when I see "tijuana." I might return at a later date to try another dog, just not anytime soon.

This place was great! We stopped by another famous spot and was just going to take too long and lucky we found this hidden gem. It's a must try! When in Chicago, must try the Chicago style dog. Service: amazing! Fast! Quick! We got lucky with service, because this place would normally be packed Food: 5/5 delicious. It appeals to my Tastebuds, because it's not too salty or spicy or bland. Seasonings on point. All the foods were delicious!
