Not as good as I originally thought. First time everything we had was pretty good... The last several times everything was pretty bland, not enough seasoning. Soups need more salt and more seasoning, sandwich didn't have enough meat. Definitely not worth the prices and I definitely don't recommend this place.

As always, phenomenal meal at The Red Pepper! Even better when it's on the company's dime and I can order a large Bow Tie Pasta!I look forward to visiting The Red Pepper on every visit to Madison!

Food was fresh & delicious. We had a group of 12 & were seated upstairs. The parking lot looks full but was seats available. While in line ordering saw several pick up orders. Very busy place.Vegetarian options: The sandwiches can be made without meat or cheese. Lots veggies to chooseDietary restrictions: Alpha Gal friendly.Kid-friendliness: Have a children's menu

We often cater in Red Pepper for lunches, and the variety and quality of food cannot be beat. Even if I'm just ordering a little something for myself, the food is always delicious and filling. As a staple of Madison eateries, they prove their worth time and time again! Thanks for always taking such good care of local businesses. :)

Great big john salad, the Stromboli sandwich wasn't a Stromboli, it was more like an Italian

Cute building and interior. Lots of different types of sandwiches such as hoagies, paninis and wraps. Salads/pastas salads are homemade and delicious. The bow tie pasta is definitely above average. The staff is always nice and service is quick. Nice stop on the way to Clifty Falls for a picnic or a great place to dine in.

Very good sandwiches and soups. They were both very flavorful, and the soup was very creamy. There wasn't much of an 'atmosphere', as this joint on the edge of the city is rather basic and has an odd configuration of rooms. The soup and sandwiches are very salty, as I realized later that I needed to drink a bucket of water. But I still enjoyed them and I'd come back.

Wonderful sandwiches. My favorite is the Valley Veggie. I love how they put a dill pickle on the side of anything you order. In the warm months, they have the perfect secret little back deck to eat out on.

My husband and I got a late lunch here. They were not busy at all when we went around 2:00pm but we drove by at 12:30pm on a Wednesday and they were packed. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly young woman. They have a large menu of sandwiches, daily soups and salads. I recommend looking at it online. You order at the counter and then sit down. Our food was brought out to our table quickly. You get your own drinks and refills. The sandwiches were huge! They come with a lunch size bag of plain Lays chips and a pickle spear. We both really liked our food. I got the Italian sub and my husband got the Tuscan. We drank water and our bill was only around $20. You take your trash to the trash can yourself and place your basket on the shelf. They have a very small parking lot so be prepared that you may need to park on the street. We would definitely go back!
