In The area for some family business and stopped in for lunch. I love tenderloin sandwiches and so had to try this one after reading reviews. Overall it was good but not the best I have had. My husband had the beans and cornbread and said it was good. Pretty decent meal for a late lunch on a Monday. So many places we wanted to try were closed.
Van's is a local staple. The food is okay and worth what you pay for it, but it won't knock your socks off. It will, however, leave you satisfied with a good country fare meal. The wait staff tend to be underpaid so you should expect to tip well as part of your meal.If you are a local, you should leave some time for talking to other locals at this watering hole, because you will likely see someone you know. This diner is too cute. We ordered a lot of food to try and smashed all of it. No S&P on eggs or anything but overall solid food. The pancake and french toast was butterhome cooking. Our waitress was amazing, really kind girl.
