The single worst Firehouse Subs Sandwhich shop! I love firehouse but not this one. First, it took 2 people to count the cash we gave them (2 $20, 1 $10, 3 $5, and 1 $1) and they had to get a calculator because they thought it wasn't enough to cover a $65.84 bill. Then we get home to eat the sandwiches and there was so much mayo on our 3 steak and cheese sandwiches that we had to try to scrape off what we could. There was still alot left and the bread was super soggy from all the mayo. HORRIBLE! we couldn't even eat half of a single sandwhich because we felt deadly ill. Definitely, if you want to waste a bunch of money for terrible food and service, then this is the place to go. But if you are looking for a great firehouse sub, go anywhere else, but here, heck even the dumpster from a neighboring firehouse sub would still be better than eating at this location.

Love this place. But was a little disappointed with this last trip. Maybe because it was on superbowl Sunday. But sandwich was soggy, they didn't even ask what I wanted on it. Tossed everything on because that's what it showed on the sign the 1 person told me. When I asked for stuff on my meatball sub was told nothing normally goes on it. But all in all, I do like this place. It was just one of those days.

Sandwich was subpar. Wasn't made properly. The Sandwich was just a mayonnaise sandwich. Didn't have the deli mustard like it should have. It was a complete mess. Dining area was dirty. Wrappers all over the floor. Won't go back to this one.

Floor and tables were dirty. Ordered a medium “New York Steamer” and they went super skimpy in the meat. There was roughly more sauce (mayo, mustard, Italian) than meat. It’s not an exaggeration to say many bites had 1 piece thick of pastrami/ corned beef. I suspect this was because I didn’t tip (and why should I at a fast food restaurant?!?). I do not recommend.

Tried to redeem a coupon on their app. Went to pick up my order only one sandwich was made which of course was the one I paid for. Staff was VERY RUDE and told me I needed to contact the chat function on their app which does not exist. They by no means could care less. This was my first and last experience with them!!

The pickup order sandwiches are never ready when promised and the employees are not friendly and hardly even said a word to my parents who came to get sandwiches here based on my previous beaming review of firehouse subs. The sandwiches are delicious which is why it’s sad that you have to pick between going somewhere with great food or going somewhere with great customer service. Wish another location would open locally. Please be friendly even if you don’t want to be because that’s customer service :)

Stay away from the Merrillville location. Ordered online gave them an hour before I picked it up. They never look at online orders apparently because it wasn’t ready so had to wait another 15 minutes for two sandwiches that the girl still got wrong. I’m handicapped so I didn’t appreciate having to still wait. No apology from manager or anyone. Service and staff just horrible.

This place is getting it done. They go heavy on the Fireman theme. The sandwiches are tasty and the service is good. The sides? Well, it's the grab a bag of chips or a cookie type of place. Just letting you know. The sandwiches are worth the stop.
