The chicken is good. Smother potatoes horrible. Sweet potatoes good, string beans good, ribs decent, ordered dressing but was not here ,spaghetti taste like water ,rice n gravy nasty Mac not it, just flavor less never

The food is delicious but order if you have time to wait. You can't call ahead. At least I haven't been able to. So you can walk in order and then sit your car for an hour or run an hour errand then pick up your order.The food can be a little salty but it's soul food. What do you expect? But the smothered pork chops are tender and flavorful. All the sides are delicious. Desserts go quickly. Get there early.

I don't know how this restaurant is open. I decided to try another rib place because most are inconsistent. One day everything is great and another day the quality is different. It's very upsetting to spend hard earned money on mediocre food etc. This is one and done for me. The first time here and I spent some good money. Ribs were tuff scraps drowned in barbeque sauce. The black eyed peas tasted burnt and unflavorful. Had Mac n Cheese and Greens as well. They were decent. The corn muffin was hard as well. One of the highlights of this rib dinner was the cheap bread under the scraps of ribs that I wouldn't bother giving to my dog. Again one and done. You guys got my money and bravo for you. Very upset!! If this is cooking I definitely should open a restaurant. Maybe the rest of the menu is good from some reviews but won't risk trying.

I’ve been here twice and each time I was pleased. They are very polite when taking your order on the phone. My daughter (3) killed the greens! She was humming and dancing while eating them. so far from here I’ve tried the fried chicken, cat fish, rib tips, Mac & cheese, greens, yams, pinto beans and cobbler. My family will definitely be back!

First time eating here last night. The lady was super nice it took about 20 or 30 minutes to get the food so I thought it would be fresh so I was happy. This food was horrible. Nothing tasted how it should. I had chicken, mac, greens and smothered potatoes everything was trash. I would not recommend. I’m from Chicago where the food is amazing… this is not southern food

Rib tips were thin and smallMacaroni was basic didn't taste like baked macaroni I was use
Horrible service. A female answered the phone and instantly left me on the phone for 10mins… while taking my order yelling to other employees asking if they have inventory… then took order stating they had food. She then called back 20mins later (while on my way)telling me they no longer have food.. I asked why tell me you do, if you don’t? , and she told me she “thought” they did … thanks for wasting my gas , time and interest in trying to support black businesses….

This place is AMAZING! Food is delicious and made with love. Staff was extremely polite and welcoming. They greeting me when I walked in and made sure to tell me about the specials! Even sent me with a menu which a lot of places don’t do anymore. I will absolutely be returning!!!

You should check your order before leaving. Too often its wrong - discovered after I get home. Once, I was given someone else' order. Catfish, greens, mac-n-cheese, yams are winners for me. Cabbage is so so. Black-eyed peas-thumbs way down for me. I ordered smothered pork chops. Nice chops but didn't come smothered. I asked for a side of gravy - didn't happen. Find what you like and stick with that. AFAIK, it's the only show in town for soul food.
