If you go here, don’t order the eggplant parmigiana. I had to dig around the ocean of sauce my eggplant was buried in to even find it, let alone taste it. The sauce is so overbearingly sweet, it makes you sick to your stomach. Overall the food was horrible and barely edible. My mother in law had to run to the bathroom before we even left. $160+ for 5 people. For the food quality it was definitely not worth the price. There are way better options out there.

I was looking for a place for our work Christmas party, & my sister suggested Palermo's. It was my first time there, & I was not disappointed. It turned out wonderfully. From Paul who I first spoke with to Becky (in charge of parties) & the waitresses, everyone was spectacular. Since we were a bigger party, they set up a buffet style table with pizzas, pasta, salad & wings. All the food was amazing! Great wings, the pasta was wonderful with a very tasty meat sauce, pizzas were really cheesy & good. They opened up both rooms for us to give us plenty of space, & were extremely accommodating. They made sure we were very comfortable & taken care of. Whether dining on your own, or having a party, I wod highly recommend Palermo's in Merrillville.

Definitely not as good as it used to be. Last three orders . This order, pizza not cooked long enough. Mini pizza bread , was burnt. Not normally one to post …. Three strikes your out!!!

I love the original Palermo's on 63rd and I was very hopeful that it was the same sauce and food. I went for lunch, and I was seated right away. I ordered the baked mostaccioli with marinara sauce. My first impression was that it was a big order of food. It looked good covered in cheese. The pasta was overcooked, and the marinara sauce was very sweet. It tasted like sugar. This is not what the original Palermo's tastes like at all. My meal came with garlic bread and that was good.Overall I was not impressed; I will wait to go to the original location and drive past this one on the way.

Service was great. Onion rings were good and on our deep dish they use a good amount of toppings.I do not recommend the cannolis or mozzarella sticks. Doesn't remind me of Oaklawn

Friendly service, great food! I'm stuffed. The Italian beef was juicy and the au jus had the perfect flavor to blend with the beef. My husband had the chicken said it was tender and the perfect crisp breading. The side of fries was shareable for three. Granddaughter had ravioli looked delicious but she had already been full from my beef and fries..lol

I ordered 2 pizzas, 1 medium thin crust, 1 small deep dish. The "new" girl brought out 1 medium thin I ordered and a small thin I didn't order, didn't order deep dish, will take another 45min. Long story short, they have new people that don't know how to put in your order properly. I also had the pizza bread, it was cold, thankfully it came with warm Marana sauce. The pizza was better than average, but not sure when I might try again. The girl that checked us out did finally comp the appetizer. First time in my life I didn't leave a tip. Very frustrating experience.

Tried for the first time today, pizza was fantastic. Sauce and toppings were both fantastic and tasted fresh. Definitely recommend when you're in the area. I will definitely be back.

I haven't had Palermos since I went to the one in oak lawn. They had the sweet sauce I liked, but there wasn't much cheese or pepperoni filling in their calzones. Just a lot of sauce. The Alfredo noodles wasn't completely soft either, but I liked the service so I'll give it another shot.

Literally the worst food ever. I should have known when no one was in there on a Friday at dinnertime, there was a problem. Once the vomiting began, I continued throwing up for hours after. Thanks

The service was very good. Super friendly and helpful. The pizza sauce is supper sweet almost like a Desert. It was wayyyy to much for me some might like it, just not for me. I wouldn’t get pizza her again.

OK, but not good. I had spaghetti and meat balls. An "Italian restaurant", was all out of spaghetti noodles. They asked if I would take some other type. I chose muscacholi. The meat sauce was good, alittle sweet but good. The plate came with two smallish meat balls. I thought this was kind of skimpy for the 13$ price tag. No bread or anything with the meal, kind of a standard thing in Italian restaurants. I ordered a slice of pizza just to try it. The crust seemed like it was done in a brick oven but it was very dense. The sauce was the sweet sauce from the spaghetti dish. The crust was what realy made the pizza a no go. Way to dense. The overall atmosphere was clinacle, kind of like a nursing home. You walk down a hallway to a darkish room, with a TV playing the latest version of days of our lives. You are in the back with a curtain separating you from the light coming in the windows from the front. All in all, the food was OK but definitely not good enough for me to go back, especially with the dreary atmosphere.

Not sure if this location just doesn’t know how to make paper thin crust or they just choose not to. This is probably the 3rd time I’ve given them the chance to make a paper thin crust easy sauce pizza. This is the third time I’ve received a not thin crust pizza with a enough sauce to make another pizza. As you can see I took the cheese off a piece to show the ridiculous amount of sauce Guess I’ll have to make that drive to the original.

Absolutely horrible place. Dirty and the food sucks! How can a deep dish pizza come to your table luke warm?

Pizza sauce dripping off the pizza with barely any cheese or toppings. Waste of money.
