Everyone raved about this place to me, but I thought it was just okay. I had a chili dog and the Italian beef and sausage. Both were fine but nothing to write home to mom about.

Late night crew super slow lately. I work close by and stop here before heading home. Normally it's a quick stop but last time I came I waited over 30 min for one big beef fry and cup of cheese and this time 22 minutes for the same order

Standard Portillo's except this one took significantly longer to get the food because all the high school kid employees were bickering more than usual instead of making the food.Darn near $13 for a 5-6 inch Italian combo beef and sausage with peppers and cheese is highway robbery.
I had always heard about Portillo's, but I never thought it would be so good. I got the Maxwell Street Polish with no onions. It was awesomeParking: Lots of spots, but they do fill up when they are busy. This is a very popular place

within the last six months I've ordered six times from Portillos Merrillville location. Five of the six times I received the wrong items. Each order contained two jumbo hot dogs, a beef sandwich, and two orders of fries, nothing complicated. Every messed up order gad the wrong ir missing condiments on them,. The service and staff at this location just don't care. I wrote to the corporate office and no one even bothered to call me back. Cant go back to this location, . I'll have to enjoy their food when I travel to Chicago.

If I could rate it at 0 I would. Drive thru is horrible left me waiting for my food for almost 30 minutes, so I needed up asking for a refund. They did not care at all. I will never go to this location again. Absolutely horrible!

Great hot dogs.Love the loud bussling restaurant. We were ordering individually in our group and we received our order out of the order in which we paid.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space for birthdays and family events.
