We stopped here 4 times over the summer and couldn't time it right - their pies sell out quick during tourist season! But on the 4th attempt, the gentleman offered us free ice-cream and asked us not to give up! We didn't give up - timed it right, bought six pies for a party - everyone raved!! So perfect, really nice guy and terrific pies!

This adorable little roadside stand tempted us to stop. We didn't want anything much because we had dinner plans in a little while, but something sweet was in order. They have some good options like Whoopie Pies, pie a la mode, cinnamon rolls, etc. We settled on the raspberry cream cheese cinnamon roll. What a treat! This was so good. Far better than the traditional sticky sweet cinnamon rolls from the County fair back home. A Slice of Heaven is 30 minutes away from where I am living but it is worth the trip back. Maybe next time I will try some of their delicious looking hot dogs, Polish dogs, Bratwurst, or Italian sausages.

The deserts were amazing! The pumpkin crumble, cc cookie and brownie were delightful! However we were scolded by the waitress because we ordered from the counter and not our waitress, be sure to order from one person. Also, while enjoying our evening the same waitress thought it was appropriate to vacuum and bus the restaurant while we were enjoying our sweets. Probably best to take it to go!

Underwhelming at best. I had a Coney Island dog and the chili had beans in it and was bland. I ordered the pie with ice cream and the guy didn't use a scoop and grabbed a handful of ice cream and slapped it on top. He did have glove on but still

Super friendly and great ice cream. It's also a very generous portion for the price of $3.50! I would highly recommend!

Great dogs! Can't wait to try the beer brats. They also have polish sausages. The ice cream was really good as well... Very smooth. Also eating outside on the picnic tables was really nice on a warm evening.

Disappointing. Service was good BUT the food... Ends of the buns and dogs had that microwaved-for-way-too-long inedible rubbery ends. Also the price was way too high for these baby Nathan's dogs. Ingredients just seemed subpar for the price. 25$ for 4 hot dogs. I'm all about supporting local businesses but I don't think I'll be back again.

Wish the original owner would come back hes very pleasant! The woman he has working for him has ZERO customer service skills everyone I’ve compared encounters with has agreed SHES TERRIBLE no manners far from professional!

I've been looking for a good Chicago Dog in Michigan City. This place was recommended to me as the best dog in town, and I have to say I agree. The dog was cooked perfectly, and the bun was soft and warm. The Coney Dog I had was also fantastic. Service was great. It wasn't much to look at, but it was definitely the best dog in town.Parking: It's located in a large gravel lot next to the mall, Shoreline Brewery, and a pets outlet store. There is plenty of parking spots.Kid-friendliness: Very Kid friendly

Disappointing for me as pricey and average quality at best. Had a chili dog, one of their specialties, for 5.75. It was a snack as 2-3 would be meal for 180lb person. Not a fast food fan in general, but basic whopper more satisfying to me than the chili dog.Surprising how so expensive for such low overhead place. It was $3-4 dog IMO with slightly below average quality.

Hidden gem after leaving the National Park. Of you want a couple dogs and dessert. This is the place to stop at. Moose Out
