This is a little hidden gem that would be easy to miss since it is parked in a small house just off U.S. 12. While there's all kinds of dandy baked goods you can take home, Arturo's is a great stop for an excellent breakfast that is also very reasonably priced. Don't expect haute cuisine here - it's quaint and small, down home and rustic with friendly, welcoming service. All perfect in its own way. My wife and her friend both had breakfast taco's that were filled with a bountiful array of vegetables, eggs and cheese, accompanied by a tangy green salsa. My buddy and I both had a breakfast special - house-made hash browns (mine were as ordered perfect extra-crispy) topped with onion, house made bacon, cheese and eggs. Everything was perfect, but perhaps the highlight of our brunch was the waffle that we shared - absolute perfection! Crispy on the outside, buttery and soft on the inside. It was perhaps the best waffle that I've had in 20 years and when I go back to visit our friends in Michigan City, I'll be back to Arturo's for that waffle!

Always a pleasure here. Local Bakery makes their own breads and sweets. Does breakfast on Saturdays. I haven't been disappointed yet!

You can't go wrong getting a fine local breakfast at Arturo's.Arturo and family have been cranking out fantastic artisan breakfast fares for some time now.Emily was fantastic (I've been here before but she's newish and fits the bill)Don't come here expecting Denny's, or Pancake house, or Yolk (Chicago folks). It's not run-of-the-mill, it's a top notch, unique place with fresh orange juice, and neighborhood friendly service.Frankly, it's probably fine if you walk away because they're not doing take out or catering to what YOU want.Because this place is perfect, consistent, and always churning out fresh baked goods and breakfast.

Solid local atmosphere. Very small operation with reasonable prices and good portions; the fresh-squeezed orange juice hits the spot every time and the French press is more than enough for 2. No shortage of butter in anything ordered ?????? Their French toast is obscenely large (I mean, they’re a bakery). Worth checking their Facebook every Friday to see their Saturday special

Great breakfast - fresh, homemade, and fast. The breakfast quesadilla and breakfast tacos were delicious, and the chocolate crinkle fritters were a fun treat. Friendly service and very reasonable!

By far the best breakfast place in town. Actual Homemade biscuits and gravy that can’t be matched. The best. Carol knows us by first name and already knows our order before we even tell her. She brings our drinks without asking because she remembers what we like. Now that is service! Arturo is awesome too and also comes out to chat and make sure we loved it all. Other staff is nice too. Our favorite place in town and we can’t wait for Saturday mornings to come
