What a disappointment. The service was not very good. I asked if I could just order the meat without the sides, and was told "well you can" which was delivered kinda like a question. I had to ask how much it would cost for the rib tips then and the woman looked at me and said the price was listed. The price listed was with 2 sides. She then said "I'm telling you I'm not gonna take anything off the price". So I ordered it with potato salad and Mac and cheese. She said "we don't have potato salad, let me tell you what we have. She mentioned most of the other things except the Mac and cheese. So I said "so you don't have any Mac and cheese either?" She said "yes we have that. So I ordered the sides. Then I ordered a cheeseburger (the menu said it came with 1 side. She said it didn't come with any sides. I didn't argue. The burger didn't have a bun, just 2 slices of toasted bread. The sides were ok. The rib tips were mostly fat and gristle and were tough. Therefore the 8 pieces didn't have very much meat on them. Needless to say we won't go there again. I had heard good things about this place but again, was very disappointed.:(((

to give this place a 1 star because the sign said be back in 10 mins is very petty, they could've had a family emergency or something could've needed immediate attention. Some of the reasons people rate 1's for is so sad and inconsiderate. There food is great and as their supporters we will keep eating here.

Great food

Hard to find out just when they are open. When they are, the bbq is great. Ribs are really good as are the tips. Sauce is a little bland. Fries are good.

Nothing was good about my brisket sandwich. It should have been slow roasted for a longer period of time.

We went to find a sign that said be back in 10 min. Waited over 20 minutes no one came. Was really looking forward to a good BBQ. Hopefully if we ever find it open, I'll be able to give a better review.

I stopped at K&K on a whim, driving by it around dinnertime. I'm glad I did.Firstly, they have the friendliest young lady at the counter. Just makes you feel good to talk to her. My order took minimal time to come up to the window. I actually missed the handle when she handed it to me, and half of the order spilled out. It was my fault, but she insisted that she was to blame, and immediately started another order, which came up lickety-split. I know a lot of places that wouldn't even think of doing that. For $7.99, I got a huge box o' tips, fries, and the tastiest side of mixed greens in the city. I always get my tips dry, with sauce on the side. (mostly because I prefer Carolina style sauce, because there is something magical about the mustard). And, it's soooo much better when you gently dip them in the sauce, compared to drowning them in it. Besides, so much love goes into slow cooking ribs that when you find a place that does it right, it's the only way fully appreciate the magic.Anyway, K&K tips are PERFECT for doing it that way. They use a rub of some kind, generously applied. And it's awesome. The sauce is the perfect balance of tangy and spicy, and the tips are so succulent that you only really need a dollop). Each piece was sizeable, meaty, succulent, perfectly seasoned. And...there was easilya full Pound, and I order the "basket" size, not the "dinner" size. Nothing was burnt, there was minimal fat, and NO gristle. The fries were those beer-batteryish type. And awesome. But to me, the sign of a good soul food place is when they have mixed greens that are to die for. And their greens are absolutely outstanding. I'd would buy it by the pound.SB/Mishawaka is lucky to have a couple of great rib places already, with Frankie's and Pitt's being mainstays of the community for ages. I think K&K is every bit as good, in every way, and will hopefully become equally as famous.

Not great. Took 20 minutes to get our food and we were the only ones there. Food was very underwhelming too.
