Well--run restaurant offering good food that is presented without delay by professional servers (ask for LINDA or PETER) in a very comfortable seating atmosphere at more than reasonable prices. HIBACHI available; tables for 2-6 easily allow for private conversation; rectangular and circular booths; bar and outdoor seating affords flexible options.Vegetarian options: Alot of veggie offerings.Parking: More than sufficient close-up parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Much availability

I normally love getting a lunch bento box, and this visit was no different in the quality of food. My issue was the weird service this time. Host sat us at a large round table and the waitress kept putting everything no where near my place, everything was out of reach. One extra step would have brought menu, drink, entree and check within reach. It was not crowded.

We have eaten here 3 times recently and everyone has always been polite, attentive considering the staffing circumstances right now. The environment is as clean as any other restaurant like this. Good food, prices are what is expected. The filet and scallops were great! We love the Miso soup

The cuisine here is perfection and their sushi fresh and delectable. The Godzilla roll is perfection and paired with spring roll sauce, will make your tastebuds desire another roll to go. As a weekly venture, I have never received less than perfect service as the family at Koto makes astounding attempts to keep customers happy. Setting a standard in Mishawaka is a bonus to their service. I would not recommend any other place.

it was a very personable place to eat I wish it was a little more advice on the menu items so it wasn't so much scrutiny as far as what I should order. it'd be nice also they can have a little bit explanation of their sauces they're all very good but knowing what's in them or the type of taste might be helpful. nice way to celebrate and life should be full of celebrations!

When you first walk in it’s super Smokey. The staff was all rude except one guy. Not sure if he was the manager or not . The cook got the food confused at my table and when I tried to explain to him he didn’t give what we ordered he started yelling at me and it ended in us yelling back and forth. He grabbed old shrimp and threw it on the grill just because I was complaining . The waitress who got my drinks seemed new she didn’t bring anything I asked for. I wouldn’t recommend I got my food boxed up and left just to throw it in the garbage . I shouldn’t have paid for anything i should have just left. Worst place I have ever been to.

Food was great. Atmosphere fair. Customer service needs a lot of work. Would I come back- I think I will try another Hibachi restaurant moving forward.

Not a fan of the Hibachi. It was just not good. The food had little flavor and the chicken was rubbery like it was undercooked. I am giving two stars because the sushi was good.

Not the best hibachi. Our last experience started like usual but we came for an early dinner at 5 and we were the only ones at the table. When we started eating they started seating new people at our grill when there were open grills. We did not feel comfortable finishing our meal and let them know that. They said sorry and handed us our bill. Non of them speak English very well. I’ve never left a restaurant that angry before.

Subpar Japanese steakhouse. When i first walked in i noticed how smoky it was. Poor ventilation.Our cook appeared to be new. He really did not do any of the entertaining tricks. I felt like this was the walmart version of habachi grilling. He over cooked everything. Cooked all the meats together at same time (steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops and lobster).The filet mignon wasn’t filet mignon. It appeared more of a steak flank.They did not use the shell from the lobster like most places used.They also didn’t give us a full lobster per serving.They used almost no mushrooms in the soup or the fried veggies. I had 1 single mushroom in my fried veggies and I also ordered extra veggies.Majority of the veggies was broccoli was disappointing.I would give them a 1 star but the food was edible and the staff was friendly.All this and a $194 bill for 5 people. Would not come here again.

We did not get the full experience today. My food was cold when it arrived, though I am happy to say the rest of the food was hot. Half our time spent there was spent waiting on our waitress. However, we could understand that the restaurant seemed understaffed as she seemed to be managing at minimum 8 tables. Overall, we enjoyed the food and we would definitely return.

Went here for the first time tonight and my husband and I will never be back. When we placed our drink order, we also put in an order for an appetizer. The appetizer did not come out until an hour later after our server had already brought out our entrees. We had to remind the server to bring us our appetizer. The appetizer was also a very small portion for the price. When our entrees were brought out, the food was cold. The service was also very slow as our drinks were never refilled once and our server never stopped to ask us how the food was or if we needed anything. The restaurant is also very Smokey. They do not have individual vents over the hibachi grill tables in the restaurant. Overall, very disappointed and unsatisfied with the food and service.
