Loaded the family up and drove across town. Just to get there and be told no inside dining due to there was only 2 workers. People sitting in a booth, I said there are people right there. Was told, oh they have been there. Um, since when? Since there were 3 workers? Doesn't make sense. Ain't even gonna get it to go. I'll spend my money somewhere that wants it.

This place has become an "in your face" staple of how far customer service has fallen from the mark. Where, once, there was a 5 second standard on the greet at the drive thru. Now, a dull and bothered " I'll be wit you in a minute" as there are no cars in front and 3 in the lot. I don't think they are allowed to smile through the window, either, and if you think they are still open...you will wait at the drive through because it still looks open until you give up or the lights turn off. This has become standard for most businesses in this entire michiana area, which absolutely blows my mind!

This was my first time being to a Steak n' Shake in Indiana. Fries were cold. Pickles tasted old & chewy so I took them off my burger, same with the onions. Burger just didn't taste fresh. Really disappointing.

Steak 'n shake has changed up so much it's not even personal no more. You don't have a waitress when you first go in you order your food on a kiosk sit down and wait for your name to be called to get your food. I also ordered a shake and it didn't even come with the meal I had to wait and almost 20 minutes for my shake. A friend with me and didn't get his food at the same time and then it was wrong.Parking: There was so much extra parking because the place was very dead.
Against my better judgement, we tried this place. Do not come here, ever. Waited 45 minutes for 3 burgers and fries. Place is dirty, all tables were dirty. Never
Don't need a grammar lesson from the drive thru.Reform this place, we miss it, but more than likely, it's too late.The teacher in the drive thru is not helping:(

Food was still good classic Steak n Shake. Staff was friendly. If you have to use the kiosk to order food, don't throw away the QR code that prints out.... you'll need it to get fountain drinks.

Came here after 8pm. Waited in the drive thru for 10minutes. Guy in the junk GMC Yukon in front of me ordered 6shakes. By the time I got my food it was cold. They seemed to be extremely understaffed. Lobby was closed. The owners of this establishment need to do better. They are not putting their employees in a position to succeed.

This is an edited updated review. Had a taste for a expensive, shake that is tasty. Hence, steak and shake was my choice. As always the strawberry shake is top of the line. Added a burger with it's thin hamburger patty, yet somehow they make it juicy. The fries are ok but will get cold quickly due to being so thin. Rather than the catsup I decided to go with the cheese sauce. Bad choice. The sauce tasted watered down and unflavored. There is no intentional interactions with human staff, in that, everything is ordered via Kiosk. However, I was able to get limited questions answered by the cook. After ordering the machine will ask you to tip. I laughed and asked the machine for a waitress but it said nothing. Hence, my tip was nothing.
