“First bar I've tried in Newcastle. I'm from a city about 1.5hr south. Bar tender was great, drinks were spot on and reasonably priced. Place was clean, waitresses kept tables taken care of from what I seen. I started at the bar then moved to the Billiards area. Everyone one I spoke with was very kind and respectful. The music was classic rock. Witch is not what I prefer but don't have any issues with. It happened to be a karaoke night and it was nice to see that people respectfully cheer each other on. Overall had a good time and hope to stop in again if the opportunity arises.“
“Just moved from Texas to Indiana, and I was looking for a nice wine bar. Everyone look no further because this place is perfection. The owner and employees were so welcoming and friendly. I can't wait to go back again. Thanks for all of y'alls hospitality!“
“And I've been there about 4 or 5 times it's a really nice place with really awesome drinks he will try to make you whatever he can and it's good to taste different things they have different flavors of beer cider all kinds and they have a wine slush machine you just have to go there and check it out if you passed it up on broad Street you need to watch for it and go in there and visit it's a nice place to sit back and gather your thoughts not a bunch of loud rude people and they even have things set up outside where you can drink out there on the patio they both put their whole heart and everything they do“
“This bar is a local tradition for New Castle. There are regulars at the counter each day. They have pool tables, a juke box and a lively atmosphere. I sampled the steak sandwich and WOW. They have meat from Rihms locker, and mix it with cheese and onions on a buttery grilled bun. Excellent diner style steak sandwich. The decor is ecclectic and plenty to look at while you have your beer. It reminds me of the Toby Keith song, "I love this bar." There are bikers, farmers, firemen, hippies, chain smokers and boozers. You can go here to laugh and have a conversation with a stranger, or sit in silence at the bar with a drink. It is a true classic "dive bar". It is locally owned, and you can tell that the owner truly cares about her patrons. We stopped in on the evening of Thanksgiving. I thought it was so neat that the owner had assembled a Thanksgiving dinner for all of her normal patrons. You don't find a family, "we are all in this together" atmosphere like that very often anymore. Warning: they do allow smoking.“
“First time here. I have some friends that live in the area. They said they like to stop there for lunch. So today was it for me. It's a small bar in a small town. It's been there for a long time. There not many options locally and with this one you can have a cold beer. It's about 5 miles from summit lake state park. Hamburger and fries for me. The place was being managed by one person. She was working on a large carry out order and about 10 people at the bar so she was slammed. She promptly got me a beer and told me she'd get to me for food ASAP. The grill is in the bar areas, so I could see she was busting her tail. I would have been disappointed had I been in a hurry, but I wasn't.“
