The atmosphere is great, small town Cafe feeling. Very nice staff. We got the B & G's which were on point they were very good and the steak skillet which was extremely fatty and way over cooked to the point it was dry and hard to eat. It felt like it was the first thing cooked and cold. The coffee was low quality and 1.99 so its safe to say we probably won't be back to this Diner it just didn't seem worth the money spent.

We Googled "best breakfast in Muncie" and were directed to Sam's.
We were not disappointed.
The food was good, decent prices and portions.
The service was amazing.
Our waitress Sandy (yes, I said waitress) was amazing. She was constantly on the move, checking on all her customers, making suggestions, and making sure everyone was taken care of.
We will certainly be back whenever we're in Muncie!

So i read several of the reviews on this place and because most were old reviews, decided to try it anyhow and unfortunately i have to agree with alot of them, the biscuits and gravy are not good, gravy seems canned and having canned gravy before this is by far the worst, sausage patties greasy and no flavor as well as the home fries, no flavor. If you have a low sodium diet it may suit your needs and even with that u may be disappointed! Serving size and pricing are good, it wont kill your pocket and if u can get past the odd flavor itll fill your belly. I read 1 review that said” may be the best breakfast in muncie” if thats the case im going to try anywhere else here in muncie because if this is the best then a stray dog wouldnt eat from the next place. I will say i called before i ordered about delivery and they were very polite and willing to answer any questions i had. So all in all probably a very friendly place , good prices and portions but the breakfast isnt very good

They have improved their food choices. They are very friendly from when you go in until you leave. They also allow you to have your food prepared the way you want it that doesn't break the bank, such as a food chain would.
Really good diner food, prompt and friendly service. Prices are reasonable.

I never like leaving reviews like this, but I believe in being honest.I had wanted to try this place out since it changed ownership. It's been many years since I've eaten here. And I always like trying new places.Upon entering, I was greeted by a woman sitting behind the counter with a frumpy look on her face, who said, "Sit on that side!" Even though "that side" was very crowded, I found one clean table and sat down.I seemed to have had both waitresses working that day waiting on me. I liked that they helped each other out, and both were very friendly. I ordered the 2 piece fish with cottage cheese and macaroni and cheese. About 15 minutes later, the waitress came back and said they were out of fish. So I just ordered a bacon cheeseburger with everything, and french fries.I was very disappointed upon receiving my meal. I guess for $8.99 I was expecting a fresh, plump, and juicy hamburger, which just wasn't the case. It was a frozen patty cooked in hell. The only saving grace was the bacon! The lettuce and tomatoes looked very fresh too. The fries were nothing special and I may have gotten 15 of them at the most.I could've stayed home and made this meal myself for about $3. I still wonder if the fish would have been good? I guess I'll never know as I don't have any plans for returning to Sam's Diner.
