So I just turned 21, this was my fist time in a bar so maybe this was my fault. But a friend and I went in, both got a drink and finished them. I ordered another and after a few sips we went over to the claw machines for 5 mins TOPS. I contemplated leaving my phone and card at my seat to mark my spot but just didn’t want to risk anything being taken since the bar was pretty full. Came back and my drink had been dumped. The woman bartending said if I wanted a new one I’d have to buy it. I don’t know, no hate to the lady but it definitely threw me off.

The Herot is a muncie institution, styled as a traditional Ale hall. They offer bar food including very good thin and crispy pizza. They used to be beer only but offer liquor now as well. prices are comparable to other bars. one disappointment was the lack of any gluten free beer aside from cider.Dietary restrictions: no real gf options

The Pizza place inside the Herorot and the two people who run the pizza area is amazing and the best part of this place . The bar it self is horrible. The bar attender said our friend was cut off( had only been drinking coke cola soda ). He was upset because our friends had order a jack and wanted top self , when drink came it was not top self My husband asked for drinks to be remade and the bartender refuse and was very rude about it went as far as to have the bouncer come tell us that our friend who had only been drinking soda all night and my husband that they were cut off my husband only having 1 beerThe bartender was the short with glass and facial earrings is the worst bartender we have encountered in a very long mean long time. The pizza place Bruce's inside the bar is amazing and truly the best pizza around but the bar itself sucks . The bartender got upset only because my husband just asked for the drinks to be remade to what he order not for himself but for friends that came in from out of town. Horrible bartender the guy that was skinny glasses and facial piercings.

My pal and I ended up here for a late dinner and a few drinks, and we were blown away by this place.First off, Bruce's pizza was incredible, and an experience like nothing we'd ever had before. Initially we wanted to try the detroit style, but it was sold old (so arrive here earlier than 8:40 on a friday if you want that!), so we tried the thin-crust instead. While we waited for that to come out of the oven, we found a quiet table in the back and got some beers.The bartenders were nice, and the atmophere of the bar was friendly and lively. I love that they leaned into the mythos and vibe of the mead hall after which they're named; I kept staring in awe at the large dragon sculpture along one wall. There was a good mix of young and old patrons, many of whom I got the feeling are regulars. The main room was a bit too loud, but the back room by the claw machines and bathrooms was quieter and more the pace we were wanting that night. We felt both seclulded but also not completely isolated from the bustle of the main dining room. The drink selection here is extensive, and I'm excited to come back some time and try a few more kinds.Now for the pizza: Wow. Just wow. The crust was incredibly thin, almost like a cracker, and the flavors and seasoning really popped. You could taste such depth of flavor in every bite. We were both glad the detroit-style was out, because this was a pizza experience unlike any other! We plan to return for that detroit style soon, tho.

I've been here plenty of times and I've had a great time I brought some family here tonight 10/17/23 and this was their first time being here and our waitress/bartender was nothing but hateful and acted like we were a burden they said they will not be returning and i honestly can't blame them. I truly enjoyed coming here but I honestly don't know that I'll be back after I've spent quit a bit of money here and that's how we were treated the bartender was a older lady dark hair with glasses truly hateful and rude.

Usually love this place and come here often. Last night 10/17/23 i came here and ordered pizza and drinks like usual, the bartender/server(Michelle) was extremely rude and took a ridiculously long time. I understand being busy but, she couldn’t comprehend how to do separate tabs. Eventually we said just put everything on 1 tab. Typically not a big deal. Then when we received our tab she didn’t ring us up for all of our drinks. We tried to get her attention for about 15 mins to let her know, but she was more interested in disappearing and not into the kitchen, bc she wasn’t in there. She seemed to just not want to do her job. Which is very unfortunate bc they definitely lost a bit of money bc she didn’t ring us up correctly. Most likely will not return unless we know Michelle isn’t there.
I loved the atmosphere of this establishment. I had approachable and benevolent service, a great selection of quality mead, and tasty treats, all while dancing among the gods in this royal presence.

Man with tattoos and long hair was extremely rude and disrespectful. Made myself and a group of young girls so uncomfortable while he was off duty. The next night we were hoping to have a better bartender and experience and he was still there and came at me and my friends even harder and screamed profanities at us, refusing to give us service after his own mistake. Won't be giving this place the time of day again.
