We had planned to eat at another restaurant but they were closed. We decided to try Castelluccio's and we were not disappointed. Delicious food and outstanding staff. If we are ever back in town we will definitely go back.

Born in Alex City but a first timer here and it was nothing short of delicious! Amazing food! The lasagna was so fresh and homemade! The bread was awesome as well as the sides: red potatoes, asparagus, and vegetable medley! The nicest staff! We will be back when we are in town again! Highly recommend!

My husband and I had reservations last night at 8pm. We got there 15 minutes early but they were able to seat us within 5 mins. Atmosphere was pretty chill and laid back. We ordered a café luccio, which was pretty amazing for coffee. Had a glass of Cabernet and pink moscato. They were good. I ordered the chicken piccata and sautéed spinach. The caper sauce on the chicken piccata was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the steak alfredo and it was market price. There are

My family stopped her for lunch the day after Thanksgiving. They had 51 guests for Thanksgiving dinner. The owner is also an antique collector and a supporter of local artists. Their works decorate the walls. The food is excellent, and is served on colorful, old dinner ware. This place deserves your attendance and support.

I ate at Café 157 the other day and was pleased to find such a variety of flavors in downtown New Albany. They have a standard menu of items that are available every day, and a menu of daily specials. I chose the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich and a Vietnamese spring roll. They were delicious. The professional chef knows what he’s doing.

A delightfully sunny corner cafe with good food and some nice artwork to peruse and/or buy, in an historic area just across the river from Louisville, Kentucky.

I ordered the aged NY Strip and my fiancé ordered the prime rib. Steak was tough and too fatty, mashed potatoes were bland. The stars of the night were the creamed corn and the chocolate cake. Ultimately, you come to a place like this to be wowed by the main course, and they, to our disappointment, fell flat.

We are a group of 4 retired teachers. We eat out somewhere every week. This was our first at J Alexander's together. We were celebrating 2 bdays. It was delish! The bday card was a nice touch. But kind of a joke. A 10% discount for future dining in a printed bday card would gain you more repeat business and be perceived as a genuine gesture of celebration. We will definitely be back with or without a discount! Just love marketing! Marry Christmas!!!!

I was there for a business lunch meeting. It was very loud and hard to hear those at our table. Maybe it was the crowd because of the holiday season? Otherwise, the food and service were good.

My fiance and I went to J. Alexander's after picking out our wedding bands as a celebration. We have been to J. Alexander's before and loved it. Unfortunately, this time the atmosphere was too loud, the service was slow as far as the server checking in on us, and our food was way overcooked. We will go back and we hope for the same experience we had the first time.

Was very disappointed with the menu selections. I have eaten here before and the menu was different. I was looking for a healthy selection, and choices were very limited. Would have been helpful to have choices marked in this way. I chose one of the specials of the day, grilled cod and it came out with a sauce over the top, certainly not a healthy selection. Especially at this season, where people may be getting together with friends, eating out should be a pleasant experience with many choices, not one of only high calorie meals. I had the main course, a glass of wine and my bill was over 40$, without tip. I felt this was very high. I dined with 2 friends, and had feedback from one. She agreed with my assessment and said she would not be tempted to go back.

My husband and I have been coming to J Alexander's for years as a date place and special occasions. The ambiance is impeccable and so is the service. The food is delicious but the costs have seemed to climb higher than other comparable restaurants (our dinner, including 2 entrees, 2 side salads, 1 soda, 1 mixed drink and tip was over $100). While the place is still a favorite of ours, the value just isn't there like it used to be.

So this has always been a top fav of mine and always reliable with consistently great tasting food..( a little pricey), that is until our latest visit. Service was very good but our entrees were overly seasoned.. we all had indigestion well into the next day. Rule of thumb to the kitchen staff... Less is more and a good piece of steak or seafood cooked to perfection doesn't need a ton of seasoning! Also, why does Open Table ask what the occasion is for your visit? The restaurant doesn't care. We have visited J. Alexander's for at least 3 family members birthdays, and noted that to Open Table when making our reservation, but J. Alexander's has NEVER acknowledged that...you know like a complimentary dessert or drink! Ramp up your customer service already, especially when you see “frequent flyers” at your establishment!
