“I can’t even tell you how many places I did tastings at for food for my wedding. I am very picky and I was giving up hope, when I had my tasting at Morris deli I actually cried tears of joy. Finally food both my guests and I could all enjoy! We had the brisket, ham and chicken for all the meat people. As a person that enjoys more the “sides” I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and the pepper jack Mac and cheese!! I never got tired of them while having leftovers after the wedding they were the best mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese I have ever had! The appetizers of the pimento cheese wontons and bourbon meatballs were also a hit at cocktail hour! Morris also provided all the drinks for cocktail hour and the reception. They were delightful and very professional to work with. I would recommend their catering for major events and just to stop by for a nice lunch any day!“
“My favorite BBQ joint. I love their Mac n cheese, baked beans, and the tater salad. Also great bbq sauce. Friendly service always. Great quick and delicious option for lunch or dinner. They even have a drive through option. I also like knowing the meat is coming from a family farm and the animals are well taken care of. Can't wait for them to cater our wedding!“
“Everything we ordered was GOOD! We had catfish, fried chicken, bourbon wings, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato, greens cornbread, chocolate cake… we will most definitely be back!!! I wish I had took a picture before we ate it all, but trust me it was all on point!“
“Today I attended the UofL Trager Institute Gold Standard Award Ceremony which was catered by Mastersons. I was pleasantly surprised that they served the most delicious vegan lunch consisting of two portobello mushrooms on a bed of quinoa with black beans and sweet potatoes. All I can say it was amazing. Masterson's was able to make the dish so tasty while also including the appropriate nutrients. So many caterers, as well as fancy restaurants, serve awful vegan meals. The meat eaters said their chicken dinner was also very tasty! Kudos to the chefs!“
“The folks at Crowler Catering are amazing. I’ve hired them for two events I’ve organized and attended an event just last night that they catered.The food is always very delicious. They created a cocktail just for our event at a past dinner. Everyone there is so easy to work with. From a small catered event to a large festival needing “Thirst Aid” (that’s the name of the converted ambulance they use to serve alcohol at events), I highly recommend Crowler Catering.“

“Came in while on vacation from NY. Got the onion strings and a burger. My husband and I were stuffed. Strings were very crispy and the sauce delicious. We ordered the BBQ cheese burger with slaw. Slaw was fresh and crunchy. The burger was delicious. Perfectly charred but not overcooked and the bbq sauce was delicious. Recommend to anyone who wants to avoid the tourist traps on vacation and get a delicious meal.“
“Beautiful restaurant! So chic and comfy. Quick service. Everything in here is so tasty! I had something from the bakery, a Korean sandwich and black coffee, and everything was extremely delicious. We were having the time of our life and accidentally broke a cup, I was so ashamed, but someone from the staff was so kind and comprehensive. If I could, I'd be in here every day and try out all the menu.“
“Libby and the Bristol team were exceptional. One of our favorite experiences was our tasting with the Bristol. They made it fun! I got dozens of compliments on the food we had at our wedding, most of them to the tune of "Wedding food is usually not great, but oh my gosh, this is amazing!" The waitstaff was superb, and the bartenders were so accommodating and gracious. It was everything that I could have hoped for and more.“
“Found this place by luck, it is literally a whole in the wall from the outside and wifey and I were skeptical, but the staff were inviting and the food, let's just say you do not need the sauce on the ribs, they are very flavorful, the tots and pork, mouth watering, BBQ beans the best I have ever had, street corn is that sh..t. and from what I read they really give back to the community.I'm new to town but I have been a lot of places and this is top 15 enjoy“
“I've had some great BBQ and I also know my way around the smoker. The place is typical for cool BBQ joints; nice atmosphere, comfortable setting....and incredible scents. My buddy and I showed up for lunch and both decided on the pulled pork plate which also includes two generous helpings of sides. I went with the smokey 'baked' beans and cole slaw. As a huge fan of those two particular sides alongside BBQ, I was pretty impressed with the flavors. The slaw was nice and crunchy and done in a creamy style with large shave pieces of cabbage. Very nice! The beans were as good as any I have ever had. Perfect hickory smoked flavor and as tender as a bean gets.And now for the star of the show.....I would put this pulled pork BBQ against any in this area and quite a few of I can think of down south. I took advantage of the unlabeled (presumably home made) BBQ sauce on the table...wait.....back to that in a sec! So as I'm looking at this whopper sized bun, the pork and spilling over the sides and stacked a few bites deep. A very healthy portion. Typically I take the crown off of the sandwich, grab a fork and take a few bites in to catch all of the effort of long smoking such a delicious cut of meat. Carr's hits BBQ right on the head. PERFECT bark, PERFECT smokey flavor, and PERFECTLY cooked to an unbelievable melt in your mouth experience.Back to the sauce. There was another sauce on the table (this one was yellow)that I didn't try but I will next time. Since it was yellow, I assumed it was a Carolina style BBQ sauce. I LOVE sauces, especially on great BBQ! While the BBQ itself didn't need any help from a sauce, I had to try the red stuff anyway. Let me just say that I would bought a jar right then and there if it had been for sale. The flavor was somewhere between Beale Street in Memphis, and authentic Texas 'twang'. I want more. Now.Yes, Carr's earned my 5th star on the food alone, but it would be unfair not to mention the friendly service and speed of being served (during lunch hour, no less) which was 5-star as well. NICELY DONE CARR'S, I'll be seeing you again very soon!Oh, there's one more thing. The meats at Carr's are locally sourced, so the prices are very, very good. I would have expected to pay at least $17 for so much great food that was truly enough for two sittings, but the total for the two plates and a couple of Big Reds came to just $28. And there you have it.“
“I will be dreaming about this food for the rest of my life. We got SO many compliments on the food at our wedding, both the grazing table at cocktail hour and the main buffet. Everything looked AND tasted amazing! Charles and Hannah were so easy to work with and the event staff was so friendly and offered wonderful service. Absolute best!“
