I was really disappointed with this branch. Heine Brother's has always had a very homey atmosphere & the baristas have always been incredibly sweet to me. However, State Street was consistently the least clean, least friendly branch I've visited. On more than one occasion the bathrooms were dirty & the café itself was caked in dust and grime. I can only imagine what areas not regularly seen by customers look like. The staff would consistently treat myself and other customers with disrespect and decision. I will not be returning to this location.

Cute store! Really bad staff experience.... was left standing at the counter when MULTIPLE people looked at me, then turned away. After standing there for about five minutes, a barista with possibly the worst customer service I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with before took my order....good coffee and good environment...staff could use some training on hospitality

This location doesn't deserve even one star but had to give at least one to post.This past Sunday morning was the first time going here and it will definitely be the last! I walked in and went to the counter to order as no one was there. Three employees were behind the counter and never acknowledged me to let me know they would be with me in a moment , although they all looked my way and then quickly turned away . HORRIBLE customer service. I waited almost five minutes and never was waited on so I left and went to Coffee Crossing where the employees are fast and friendly.

Mikaili made the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had! Balanced sweetness, hot but not scalding, with a beautiful swirl of whipped cream on the top. It has only been a few hours and I want to go ask them for another one and another one! Ask Mikaili for a peppermint hot chocolate and you won’t be disappointed!
