We live about 40 minutes away. So we don't make it to Leaven Bakery as often as we would like to! We were in town this weekend for surgery at Baptist. We she was released from her clear liquid diet I asked what sounded good. She asked me, if I thought Leaven would be open. (Due to it being Easter weekend.) So I left, to get her favorite cinnamon roll in town. We wanted to do something nice for the staff on her floor! So I ordered 8 additional rolls. I didn't picture nurses being able to sit still long enough to eat an entire roll. I asked if they could maybe cut them into 1/4 pieces. She went above and beyond placing the quarter pieces in small muffin papers with a splash of Easter decor! The nurses won't stop talking about how amazing they are and how much they appreciated it! Leaven is the definition of what smaller local businesses should be!Thank You!Chris Newlinps. I forgot to order sausage for her. She loves their house made sausage patties!

This place is amazing. Honestly, the best breakfast, brunch, and lunch around. The owners are super cool, and work their butts off to make sure the food is delicious and the atmosphere is inviting. Try everything on the menu, then grab the fresh-baked breads and pastries. Worth it.Kid-friendliness: Kids love pancakes, right? Mine does, especially here.Wheelchair accessibility: Big step coming in. Not super easy for a wheelchair, but doable.

Stopped in this morning on our way to an academic competition at New Albany HS. 5 hungry students and two equally hungry instructors. Leaven Bakery did not disappoint! Everything was absolutely amazing....owners, service, and the food. Breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, the omelette, french toast, pastries....we had it all! Thank you Leaven Bakery for accommodating us so early this morning!

Literally writing this review from my table and empty plate. I’ve been wanting to come here for quite a while and glad I finally did! Phenomenal! My husband and I came for the Sunday brunch and were blown away. My husband got the breakfast burrito and I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon, both with the home fries. The bread on my sandwich was crispy and chewy, the bacon crispy, the eggs soft and velvety. My husband said it was the best breakfast burrito he’s ever had! Hardly any words spoken between us except “wow” and “oh my god”. lol. I also purchased some English muffins and pastries to take home to try. Everyone working was warm and kind, food was prompt. We can’t wait to come back!

Ok first is the service. This small shop is awesome. The people here are so very friendly. If I lived here I would be here all the time. We ordered an omelette with bacon spinach and tomato. So good incredibly fluffy and fresh tasting. My wife ordered the avocado toast with eggs. Man oh man. House made bread good amounts of avocado and two eggs on top. She may have won the ordering but it was close. Everything is fresh and tasty. You can tell they love food and it comes out in their cook of things. One last note my grandson gave me a bite of his French toast. Which had egg nog and cranberry Just stupid good stuff.

Avacado toast, wet burrito, biscuits and gravy, with coffee on 11-19-23. Great layout and atmosphere. I’d work here if I was local.

Stopped in to buy some scones, cookies, focaccia and a coffee. While I was waiting on my coffee in a seat with my toddler, the woman who brought out my coffee asked us to leave because my son had an outside snack. While I understand the concept of no outside food, it’s a toddler and I just purchased a significant amount of food. Super disappointing.

It is always a great experience coming here. It's always a friendly experience. And, of course, the food is grand.

Divine food... surprising little place at the far end of where people normally look for restaurants. Only open morning and lunch, get there for breakfast and take snacks for later: bread, macarons, scones and cookies...We got lucky for a brunch time lull on a weekday, so the service was extremely prompt, but I can't imagine it's different any other time.

Excellent breakfast and lunch entrees. Coupled with the exceptional service, makes this a hidden gem in New Albany. Will definitely return.
