“Such a cute shop! We came here and got a few items to go since we were in the area. My favorite thing here was their banh mi. I asked them not to toast it and told them I was taking it to go and I really liked how they left the veggies on the side. We don't live in this area, but when we finally got home, I toasted it and tried it, and the banh mi was pretty good. The bread was very yummy. They also had some drink options and other bakery items. Cute shop to check out if you're in the area.“
“Delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine hidden in plain sight on the South End. The atmosphere is quite casual and spartan, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Try the Bún bò Huế traditional style, you won't regret it!“
“A casual, simple sushi restaurant with uncomplicated delicious food, where the chef clearly takes pride in his work. I highly recommend! Try the crunch roll!Dietary restrictions: Sushi is always great for non-dairyParking: I didn't see a lot of parking, but if it's not too busy (which it wasn't when I went), there are a couple of spots along the street nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: I think a wheelchair would have trouble because the door is a bit narrow and there's a step to get in“
“Finally I managed to try almost the original Vietnamese Pho (Noodle soup), the others that I tried in the US are a bit different, they accommodated to fit the taste of the locals. This one was interesting, the main difference is the meat and also the soup, I like it generally. The place was crowded and had some old style.“
“My husband and I ate here for our first time trying Vietnamese cuisine, we tried spring rolls, egg rolls, squid tentacles, shaking beef , and a steamed catfish dish it was all amazing. I wanted pho but they were out and I can see why they would run out of food there. Best place we have eaten at so far. The atmosphere was great our waitress was awesome. We will definitely be back for our next date to try pho and will recommend to everyone we know.Parking: We parked in the back lot“
“We came during lunch when we were in this area. The server did let us know right away that they only take cash. It is a hole in the wall, but the food was pretty good. I tried their pork chop rice plate (com dac biet). It was very yummy. I really don't have any complaints about it. I also ordered a side of soup with mine, which was an additional $2. Their soup had a very nice flavor so I know I would've liked their pho had I had gotten it. The rice plate came with an egg, which was cooked perfectly. It was a nice crisp on the bottom and slightly runny on the top. The egg meatloaf was also pretty good. In all, I didn't have a bad experience. I would probably come back here again if I were in the area.“
“Amazing! Got to try the Pork skin summer rolls and Sesame Beef Skewers - both were incredible. My entree was the Hu Tieu/Mi Xao Thap Cam (Stir fried rice noodles with chicken, shrimp and vegetables topped with peanuts) The interior is very homey and welcoming, like being in someones house. Service was quick and efficient, I would definitely come here again.“
“This place does not disappoint! I So far, I have tried the Pho Ga, crispy dumplings, chef's special noodles, and the shaking beef. And everything has been delicious. Service was good as well; food came out in a timely manner and staff were very attentive. Definitely a newfound favorite restaurant of mine!“
“Their staff and food are great! The pho here has well cut and perfectly cooked portions. Their Banh Mi is another must-have. It is my favorite sandwich in Louisville, which I think says a lot. Its medley of well marinated pork, plentiful vegetables, sauce and bun is fun to eat, and healthy to boot! It's also fun to indulge in dessert, and they have you covered with rich and flavorful options! Their cheesecake and oreo truffles are highly recommended. Thanks to their delicious food and friendly staff, I feel rejuvenated and content whenever I eat at Pho Ba Luu.“
“I forgot to get pictures because as soon as the food got there I scarfed it all down ? the food was presented nicely and had amazing authentic flavor (almost exactly like out of my mother's kitchen). I had the chicken pho with no spice (I just used the sriracha and brown sauce given because i was also using the broth to feed my baby) and my hubby had the beef pho with spice level 4. His pho broth was nicely spiced and had a very warm mouth feel (although if you're sensitive to spicy I recommend a 1 or 2 spice level). My chicken pho broth was so clear and flavorful with just the right amount of herbs and noodle to broth ratio. Also obsessed with the green papaya salad, although I wish it had more crab/shrimp paste in it. I do understand that some people are sensitive to the smells though so I can't blame the restaurant for lightening the strong flavors for more sensitive customers. The thai tea was sooooo good too! Highly recommend it! The server was so sweet and polite. The owner was absolutely adorable! We're definitely gonna visit again when we get the chance to!“
