Wife and mother in law said the frog legs were the best they ever had and the chicken parm and freshly made onion rings were great! Thank you Monroe Crossing! Their staff is a breath of fresh air, smiling and nice.

So, so, good - a great Michiana secret spot! It's a magical old spot on a nice lake - and first stop from South Bend on the South Shore Railroad!

I celebrated my 40th birthday with my family here 7/23/23. This was my first time eating here. I was really impressed with the service, scenery, and food. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The Lakeveiw room has a spectacular view of one of the finest lakes LaPorte County has to offer. The food was also spectacular. The food was like home-cooked recipes passed down in someone's family with very large portions. It's definitely not fancy dining with 12 servings of one bite each. This is real portions of delicious menu options that leave you completely stuffed. The prices aren't horrible either. I'm definitely recommending Monroe crossing to friends and acquaintances in the future.

My husband and I used to go here a ton while we were dating and I am happy to say, it's not changed much and is still as lovely as it was then.

This place is great! A hidden little gem for sure. Located right along an inland lake, when sitting on the back deck or in the bar area you have beautiful views of Hudson Lake. The food is wonderful! Many options to please everyone.
