I wish Yelp allowed one to reply to a review! Below is a 1-star review that is wildly erroneous. I was at Books and Brews the night the event referenced below took place, and the book club group were rude, disrespectful of other patrons, and obviously had an overly inflated sense of entitlement. When one walks into Books and Brews there are several large boards displaying any specials and the night's events. It clearly said Trivia Night, plus, they were asked by the trivia host if they were going to play. Additionally, I arrived at 5:30p, before this group, and they were informed upon arrival of the set up by the trivia host as well as those patrons around them. The reviewer must not be able to read or pay attention to her surroundings, as all tables clearly state to go to the bar to order drinks and food. It's pretty hard to miss unless you willfully don't want to see it. When asked to move tables, they were given free food for the inconvenience, but the group began disrespecting the owner in her own establishment! Yet, despite all of this, they were allowed to continue the unauthorized recording of their podcast in the establishment. Maybe instead of worrying about changing tables, the reviewer should brush up on the legality of recording by citizens. Three months ago, I had a fairly invasive surgery that has required me to make severe diet changes. The owner has been nothing but helpful as I've gone through this process. She routinely adjusts menu items, or what is on the menu so I am able to order and eat while I'm there. I have never felt so accommodated, and I appreciate her efforts more than she probably knows! This is a great place for events, gatherings, or a place to grab a beer and play a game. If you've made it this far in the review, come out to Trivia Night on Monday! We have a ton of fun!

I have been a regular patron for over a year. The food, drink, and service are always top notch. Always accommodate their guests as reasonably possible. I read this review and need to correct some errors that I found based on my observations that night. As stated later in error this review; this was not a group get together for drinks and food at a local establishment. This was a group that decided to conduct a livestreaming podcast, complete with selfie tripod, in a business; without that business' or landlord's expressed permission. When the Trivia Night started; which was advertised well in advance on various social media platforms and their website, this group decided to talk noticeably louder to be heard by most of the other patrons in attendance. Now, if I were to setup for a podcast, I would make sure I talk to the owner to receive permission to film in advance and know there would not be any activities or groups that could bring difficulty to creating the podcast. So with this group's disruption for the benefit of the rest of the patrons; if they could go to another table, the group's attitude toward the owner was dismissive and attempted to shoo away the owner within her own establishment. Plus, all food and drink orders are taken at the counter; there is no sign otherwise. If there was this much displeasure, I would think one would talk with the owner directly with respect. Not conduct in a condescending, dismissive, disrespectful attitude and say a few mumbling insults about said owner as you passed me as you exited. I found a little bit of respect and kindness goes a long way; not for any personal benefit, because it is the right thing.

I've been hesitant in posting a review as I don't like conflict and I know the owner will see this and respond as she did in person, in a condescending way that makes an adult feel like they are being scolded like a child. I was in there Monday 9/20/21 at 6pm. I was there with my 1 year old and 13 year old meeting my book club friends. We were sitting up front by the door. We were doing a live stream on Instagram as we always do. Apparently Monday are trivia nights. We had no clue as we are not regulars there. In the video you can hear everyone around us talking and conversing loudly. The owner comes up to us and asks us to move to the back because our "chatter" was too loud and the people there for trivia can't hear. Her tone and the way she approached was very condescending. At that point I just wanted to leave. We simply came to eat and have a book club meeting but it turned sour real fast. I had been there 45 min at that point and was never offered a menu or asked if me or my children wanted a drink. I had a stroller that couldn't fit in the area in the very back as people needed through to the bathroom and kitchen door and I had to keep moving my daughter. Also the food brought out for my friends had mold on it. I just felt the whole interaction was rude and upsetting. My 13 year old was so embarrassed because the owner came over and seemed to scold us, talk about as she walked away to another worker and had everyone staring at us as we took the walk all of shame to the back. I will never be back and I'm sure the owner could care less. I can't rate the food or drinks as I wasn't given the opportunity to order anything, not sure if you're supposed to order somewhere else but the sign at the door said sit anywhere and a server will be with you and that never happened. Thank you for the great hospitality :/

If you're looking for a place with good food, great drinks and GREAT SERVICE then this is where you want to be. They are very accommodating and courteous to everyone that comes through the door. We typically go on Monday nights for Trivia Mondays. I have young children and often bring them with me. They have plenty of games, books and toys to entertain the kids, while I get to play trivia, which is a win win for this mom. They also have awesome kids meals and a bonus kids eat free on certain nights! Recently I saw the owner go above and beyond for a group of patrons who were not deserving of her kindness. When you walk in there is a BIG board to the left that states what the weeks events are. Every Monday is Trivia Night. This group of patrons kept trying to talk louder and louder over the trivia host, making it difficult for those playing to hear the trivia host. They had a big tripod and were recording them selves. The owner kindly asked them to move to a table towards the back so they could still record (even though not one of them asked for permission to record in the first place) and the patrons playing trivia could hear the host. The owner walked them back to the table and gave them free food and offered them anything to help accommodate them for their inconvenience. To my dismay one of the patrons in this group got extremely rude and belittled the owner. One of them even put their hand up to shoo the owner away. After the owner walked away they continued to make faces at her. They should be thankful the owner did not kick them out for their poor behavior, rude words and illegal recording. There are two sides to every story and the 1 star rating that was given to this establishment is completely false. I, along with several other patrons witnessed what happened. So to that group and that 1 start rating shame on you!

Pretty good food. Inventive and tasty. A nice place to relax with some friends, play some board games, and drink a few beer brews. Glad that they carry local beers including Bloomington's Switchyard Brewing! Woot!

It was okay but not worth going out of ones way to try. The beer cheese was adequate but not spectacular. Nothing so good its worth praising or so bad it requires a warning. In short, the meal was 'meh'. I was in the area on business and requested an itemized receipt for my takeout but didn't get one so I didn't get reimbursed. That would have been forgivable if the food was amazing.

This was a great find among my friends! I had wanted to come visit this new books and brews location in Noblesville to check it out and I'm glad I finally made it out here. The owner was a pure delight and made us feel very welcomed to the location. The guest taps were excellent and they have an extensive food menu than the other books and brews locations. The fries and beer cheese were excellent! The Taxman margarita sour was excellent and the bells Oberon wheat Brewery was great. This books and brews location is bigger than the mothership location and has much more to offer to the customer. They have books and games for people to play like the other locations, but it is much more inviting to come and relax and hang out for a while. Plus, it does not help to have a great beer list as well!! I would come back to this location in a heartbeat! It is wonderful and the food is fresh and delicious!
